BERWICK v LEICESTER (June 5th - 6.30pm) followed by Bullets v Cubs (NDL)

Recommended Posts

Decent enough meetings with two welcome home wins, for first one coming as a bit of a surprise. Berwick got themselves in front early on and once Leicester had used their tactical ride Berwick seemed to cope comfortable enough. Excellent heat twelve between Etheridge and Howarth. Douglas and Morris excellent for Leicester, Proctor might as well have stayed at home, very poor from a rider of his experience.

Credit to all the riders, staff and even referee Mcgregor who got all thirty heats done and dusted inside three hours.

A double home win... I’ll take that considering what I thought was coming into the meeting
The Dany G of the last 2 meetings should hang around a while... he’s definitely played a massive part in us winning last night! Ty Proctor... what’s happened to him too... that was a very very poor performance from him last night

One question though... as a genuine fan... the heat 15 pick.. why not Jye? Is he fully fit? Just thought it was strange putting Leon in; not that he didn’t deserve it; but just knowing he was gonna have his 5 rides in the NDL meeting also? Or was it just a case of we had the home win, knowing they were putting Morris and Douglas and just hoping for the best?

Do you know what the covid capacity is at the moment and have you been selling out?

Its an interesting experience going to a meeting as a neutral , you dont get wrapped up in the emotional side of things .

Was impressed with how Berwick are coping with all the covid nonsense , it didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary being at a meeting .

To be honest I didn't really notice that much difference in Berwick's track , but in saying that , there were some decent races , the highlight being Etheridge and Howarth in heat 12 .

Don't think Berwick will come up against a better duo than Douglas and Morris again this season , so if Gappmaier continues his home form and Flint continues on his sharp upward curve , get Summers and Busk Jacobsen going and the Bandits will be a match for anybody .

25% I believe (someone can correct me l) make it about 1250. IMO crowds have held up well considering and the club have handled COVID restrictions very well!

Crowds look very good and considering there haven’t been any away fans of such and with likes of Glasgow and Edinburgh to visit this will only boost crowds further

I think you will find about 40 Leicester fans made the trip up, with the majority being on the third bend.

He’s on about in comparison with the local crowds I believe!
