Ipswich vs Sheffield 27th May

Holder is not riding in Poland until Friday May 28th start time 2030 local and it’s not re-arranged.

So riding on Thursday in the UK and Friday in Poland should have been in Holders diary from the start. So by not riding on Thursday and RR he is with holding his services. The same as Klindt for Ipswich last week at Kings Lynn. A 28 day ban should also be forthcoming...

So Jack's problem is not getting to Ipswich bit getting to Poland

He is therefore choosing to withhold his services from Sheffield for a legitimate priority GB fixture

So basically he just can't be arsed to race here Thursday, sticking his fingers up to all fans, clubs and sponsors.  Nice

Do what’s the deal.....can’t be bothered? Been told by Toruń to stay in Poland so he is fresh? Or can’t physically ride in both meetings?

Take your pick.....

More and more fans are doing the 1st.  And when there no sport in this country the "promotions " will only have themselves to blame for taking the current stance.

Where's the lad Holder actually based ? UK ? Poland? If he is living in Poland always going to be an unreliable choice of rider for UK speedway.

In the interests of the sport and giving the supporters something to watch I think R/R should be suspended and guests allowed to cover anyone in the main body of the team.

If a 6 man team in put out then supporters should be entitled to receive a partial refund of their admission. Say £1 refund per rider missing  ... and I for one would put it straight into the speedway riders benevolent fund bucket.

Jack isn’t very good at Ipswich.  Last time in the play off semifinal he faked injury so Poole could use R/R in his last two rides.
trouble was he limped on the other leg he claimed firstly a toe injury and then it was his knee.
more chance of Ritchie Hawkins riding at Edinburgh than holder at foxhall

I think it's cost of flights and tests, exceptional year, our promoters are up against it. Not that I'm blimmin stickin up for Ipswich of course, jeeeez!

So the cost of flights and tests were ok last week for Dan Bewley to get to the NSS a day after racing in Poland?

And Jack himself after riding in Poland the same weekend..

Amazing isn't it how it worked out ok then?

Also amazing is how when a No1 is missing it always seems to be not at his home track but when riding away?

I wonder if it was a Tigers v Witches fixture if their number one 'drawcard' would have been missing?

Still, I suppose they have that many fans attending that one or two more deciding 'enough is enough' won't be even noticed...

Just like those who already have given up over the past decade in particular seemingly haven't been noticed yet...

I agree tbf, I'd be annoyed if I was a Sheffield fan of course, maybe I'm stupidly giving them/him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it's a scenario like Klindt that he's told them he won't be available for all meetings, whether it be pressure from Poland or whatever ....... Sheffield are lucky to use r/r, as were Ipswich at Lynn.

It's gotta be cost?

It’s all about flights availability and costs, I mentioned at the start of the season that some leeway was going to be provided because it’s clear that until the flight availability returns to something like normality riders are going to struggle to get from Poland and Denmark etc into the U.K and vice versa.

Unfortunately it was always going to be a can of worms and the BSPL have opened it, regulations were changed to allow facilities for riders who hadn’t yet ridden for their respective teams and going forward for those who would miss meetings due to travel problems.

We will have to see if things change but at the moment this is what we have and I can see it going on for a while. I just hope that it’s consistent and applied properly to all.

But to be fair they have something to whine about, they haven’t won anything since 1998
