On Tuesday the official SVEMO confirmed line-up and updates page for Dackarna v Smederna didn`t mention anything about RR for Thorssell until after the match had started- just as well Ghostie had let us know well in advance.

SVEMO is useless. And clubs don't want to publish lineups with RR as they probably expect some people will not show up at the stadiums knowing that teams are not full. Can't really understand it. It used to be a problem in British leagues but now communication with fans is excellent. We can find previews and confirmed lineups on BSPA website and on twitter as well.

I have spoken to SVEMO about the problem and they accept it should be better- however they need to modify the computer programme so that when the referee gives the confirmed line-ups to the person who enters them(around 5.30pm UK time) he can put the RR against the 4 rides the rider is programmed for- some do say in the comments if it`s RR  but some don`t like Tuesday.

R&R if you have such a good contacts in SVEMO, can you just suggest them to publish confirmed lineups on official Twitter? Like BSPA do.

Not sure any confirmed line-ups more than 1 hour before the start are any good- Svemo`s is fine if they could sort out the computer programme. 30 mins minimum before the start is acceptable in my view.

Edit Poland Extraleague is good- 1 hour before the start- sometimes earlier. Div 1 and 2 are extremely poor - sometimes only 15 mins before start time !!!!

Heard that managers sign lineups with referee at 17:30 (16:30 UK) and then start track walk after that. Which means referees could provide fully confirmed lineups 1.5 hrs before 1st heat.

It`s not the ref who does it though- it`s probably the announcer or someone else who sits with the ref.

Sure but what is the problem to give referee access to the website and let him update lineups on it? It is 30 seconds job.

The referee does not do the web updates. This is done by a designated updater from the hosting team. The updater sits in a room adjacent to the referee box since the referee is supposed to be alone. The referee communicates the results of each heat to the updater who then puts the results into Svemo TA.

And as I have said a number of times before, it doesn't exactly look good on TV when the first you know that someone is on RR is when they don't come out for their first ride and, due to being sat in a studio in England, you can't hear the stadium announcer!

If you have comments or complaints you can email Mikael Karlsson who is the section boss for track racing.
