Any chance of updating to '2021' and consider adding update to follow if appropriate. It's time to think of the customer: 1) if it's likely to be your highest attended league fixture and crowd number restrictions could leave disappointed fans then move the fixture. 2) A 50p ticket administration charge is shown for each ticket. This to me is another classic way of pi**ing off the majority of fans who want to turn up and pay on the day, but still have respect and understanding of Covid issues. It's time to respect you customer. A fan who misses one meeting finds it easier to miss more... especially after this time period of shutdown. Crowd restrictions will be in place until at earliest 2022. Most events that sell online only have admin charges. Sounds like an unreasonable moan for moaning sake to me

Below is taken from the Government website:If everything is going according to their easing of the lockdown this should happen from May 17th. The government will also allow some larger performances and sporting events in indoor venues with a capacity of 1,000 people or half-full (whichever is a lower number), and in outdoor venues with a capacity of 4,000 people or half-full (whichever is a lower number). In the largest outdoor seated venues, where crowds can be spread out, up to 10,000 people will be able to attend (or a quarter-full, whichever is lower). So if this turns out to be the case. The AFA's capacity is around 5,000 i think. We should be fine with 2,500.

old bob at herne bay
Te complete lack of information coming from most clubs on their plans to restart the season in less than 4 weeks time fully supports my opinion that they have their heads in the sand and are hoping that this all goes away by May 16th, and it will "business as usual. " All pretty shabby, certainly doesn't inspire confidence that the speedway stadia will be low Covid 19 risk environments. Frankly I would be amazed if half the stadia were allowed to open as planned in May. Only Eastbourne appear to have grasped the nettle, and set out their plans to their supporters.

Bagpuss
Lynn have tweeted a few times in the last couple of weeks about May 17th and the two most detailed ones (one linked to a story on the club website) suggest that they are waiting for confirmation (presumably from the local council) to ‘finalise plans’ which surely has to be about what they can and can’t do for a speedway meeting in the stadium and most importantly how many people are allowed in. Until this has happened I don’t think there is a lot more they can do. 2

Until this has happened I don’t think there is a lot more they can do. There is actually a lot more they could do. They could do what Eastbourne have done and be proactive rather than reactive. I looked at the Eastbourne website, and what they have done is spot on. People will feel comfortable that there will be a meeting, they know exactly what they have to do when going, and it would be easy to change things later if they feel more people could be let in as rules get relaxed. I looked at Leicester's website too, as they were mentioned here, and they are doing a similar thing to Eastbourne, although it is not so clear looking at website as you need to go to the ticket information on the website. But at least they have made a decision. King's Lynn should do the same. They can, after all, let more people in on the gate if the situation changes later and things ease up. I looked at the Kent website, as I might be going there for a meeting in June, and there is nothing at all. Just normal ticket information. This is fine for me, as I won't be going there for a while, but I think people need clear and easy to follow information for the opening meetings as a lot of people are probably wondering what will happen.

Yep that’s fair enough. Lynn’s interaction with their supporter base has been basic at best for some time now. In slight mitigation I would argue that Norfolk folk are quite laid back, fairly easily pleased and content to wait until ‘nearer the time’ in general but I agree that Lynn as a club could get more information out more often as a rule. sommelier
Think it will be the 10th or 11th tickets will go on sale with a little price increase that is understandable

I would have thought fans would be glad to watch live speedway. scoobydoo
Will those attending live speedway now be prepared to possibly pay an increase on admission as well as the admin fee for booking on line

I would have thought fans would be glad to watch live speedway. Hotel booked for the 17th Whilst the money does have to come from somewhere why does it always have to be found by adding onto the admission price? Those antics are always a gamble as it can just as easily put people off from going. Take 1000 fans for example you could easily argue that 100 people would be put off by another price hike. That 100 missing paying £18 is the same as the other 900 paying £2 more except that you have 100 fans staying away.
tellboy
King's Lynn have done well not to put up admission prices too much in recent times i think.Pretty sure it was £17 for adults in 2015.So as of now that is only a £1 increase in 5 years.Whether you think the sport is more inferior now or not that has been a very low increase over 5 years.
