Hi, does anyone know or when the venue for the Premiership Pairs that is usually held on the night before Cardiff will be announced.

We usually travel up the day before but if it isn't on we will do Cardiff up and back in the same day.

Thanks in advance.

I read last week that Garry May said that Somerset were interested in running the meeting if allowed. The management will probably decide on Scunthorpe due to its close proximity to Cardiff

Aren't you getting confused with the Championship Pairs...12 Pairs and 20+ great quality races, meeting in 2019 saw outstanding racing and huge crowd.

The Premiership Pairs would sure be a second half, 12 riders , 6 Clubs, not much of a crowd puller, seems ideal for Scunthorpe, neutral venue as well.

Both pairs meetings would consist of practically the same riders , so what actually would make it more exciting when the riders are riding for a championship club ?

They could run a joint Premiership/Championship Pairs event at the same time...

Half the rider's kevlars in their Premiership team's colours and the other half in their Championship teams colours...

Would pull a huge crowd as every team in the country will be involved...

It might be awkward to work out a scoring system given each pair of riders will have a different 'other' team but I am sure Speedway would come up with a perfectly sensible solution...

Held at Scunthorpe obviously....

But not on a Friday just in case guests are needed....

Have it at Cardiff on Friday night

Always wondered why the never did this.  I'm sure the Hoteliers of Cardiff would approve.  Get if offered as an add-on to the GP tickets and you might attract a few Polish fans etc to attend.  Maybe the SGP promoters would be a bit stingy with the rental fee?  Wonder if anyone has asked and enquired if the Welsh tourist board would be prepared to help out?
