So only one rider available

It’s interesting that many fans think there is loads of riders on 4-5pt averages in NDL available, there simply isn’t and below that most unattached riders are not up to NDL standard . Leicester have looked at many options including trying to convince riders out of retirement, others have grasstrack commitments and some can’t commit to getting time off work for midweek meetings

As stated in my original post Leicester are already having to use a guest until little Ben Trigger turns 15 and the other reserve has no experience of league racing.

Pathetic decision to allow Leicester to flout the rules.

We're supposed to be limiting the replacement facilities to give newcomers a chance, yet before a wheel is turned it has all gone out of the window.

If they'd lost a high averaged rider and there were no similar replacements available, you could half understand it.   But they've lost a 4-point man.  There's plenty of 3 pointers who'd be an adequate replacement.

They no the rules this league is a N Development L  give someone a chance

So you're saying that if any other club has a rider unavailable at any time this season, and want to play by the rules, then the league will come to a grinding halt because there are no unattached riders available?

Leicester had actually agreed terms with another rider but he has now broken his hand practicing so no replacement could be found for the start of the season, Leicester are also unable to use Ben Trigger for the first couple of meetings as he doesn’t turn 15 until the end of May

Maybe if the guest does well they’ll sign him or are they using an attached guest ? Apologies I haven’t seen any rules in guests !

Does that mean that they can bring in George Rothery in for Tigger ?

Why is any  team allowed to declare  an uqualified (for age)  rider in the team ?

Eastbourne have e really good prospect in Vinnie Joe-Foord who will also be 15  in July but did not declare him  instead they have declared Nick Laurence who was allready  booked to 'Spanner' for the championship.  There is a strong belief that he is filing in until Vinnie is qualified when they can re-declare.

Ben Trigger turns 15 on 27th May so will miss just one fixture my apologies I thought there was an away match before then.

With regards to the comments about 4-5pt replacement riders and guests I do believe that all clubs will struggle to plug these gaps when they happen just as Leicester have.

What is becoming clear from early meetings and some clubs P&P day is that some of the new starters are not ready yet for league racing

You mean just as Leicester "haven't"?

Leicester haven't followed the rules and plugged the gap.  They've cheated and are illegally using the R/R facility.

The NDL should put someone in place to police the rules and guard against such cheating.   They could call him "NDL co-ordinator" or something like that.

What is NDL standard! .You could say there are a number of riders not up the NDL standard if there was one. It’s a Development league:rolleyes:.

I don't know why people are getting so wound up by all this cheating? It is being done to bring on the youth and "for the good of the sport".

I have a list of riders experienced in NL racing who could step in to hole created by the loss of Jamie Halder so please don't say there is no replacement available,
