Diamonds85
Is a number 8 in the PL allowed to do the CL and NL? That's the question...

Would have thought so. Or else no one would do it. The No.8 is only going to get a ride if the Rising Star is injured or missing. Surely no one is going to turn down a season of Championship or NL just to hang around on the off-chance of the RS getting injured.

But then they riding in 3 leagues technically. So can everyone do that now?

I will be amazed if NDL heatleaders / CL riders are in the PJL. Its going to be a rebadged MDL or lower.

But with Mulford already signed up, it’s not fair to block him from riding NL when he’s only done 1 season and still has things to learn.
Lenny Lion
Premiership number 8’s can ride NDL. Dan Thompson will ride with Joe in the NDL. Rather predictably only 4 of the 2021 team are returning & 3 new signings . 1 has Championship experience . 1 has NDL experience & the other has been impressive at the practise days & youth racing so is handed his chance to impress. So Thompson x 2, Spencer and Simpson. Foord & Perry leave just over 6 so Coles or RTD (probably the latter would be my guess).

There were 3 teams only this year (thanks to the board) of which Eastbourne aren't competing) so leaves Brum, Wolves (who will also be PJL) and possibly Kent? Hugely important. Only got to look at the brits at CL to see that the vast majority came through MDL and NL. Today sought after riders like Hume, Thomas and Mountain served thier time setting up in the rough end of the pits and having countless meetings abandoned because they simply were an inconvenience to some. Todays annoying, turn up just for the laps riders may well be tomorrow's team saviours.

szkocjasid
Here's a team that allows Mickie Simpson to start at reserve. Leicester 2022? Dan Thompson 10.17 Joe Thompson 8.52 Tom Spencer 5.53 Josh Embleton 4.83 Jacob Clouting 4.30 Mickie Simpson 3.62 An Other 3.00 Total 39.

I personally think the leagues are vital for riders of all ages to develop and hone their skill sets and see if they are prepared for the rigours of full league racing, unless it starts to get further backing from the powers that be i fear the sport in general will decline further.
