Leicester Lions 2021

So, with an upcoming strengthened Plymouth against a weakened Lions tomorrow, Leicester losing 7 league points following the demise of Eastbourne and Nick Morris out for 3 crucial matches, it's not been the best of weeks for The Lions.  Oh well....they say things always come in threes! Sure that the team will rise to the challenge however!

If you get to the playoffs in 6th, then have a full team, still got every chance in this topsy turvy season.

Are Leicester actually taking the pi55 ????

Charging £10 for the British Youth Series meeting that is free if you have watched it at Belle Vue , Scunthorpe or Redcar ??

So £10 to watch a meeting where the only people that get paid are the paramedics?

Where does the money go ??

There will be next to nobody there with 2 meetings in 3 days & a rip off charge on the Monday. Count me out !!!

Paramedics / ambulance/insurance/referee fees must be around £1200, stadium rent , electricity probably another £1200, let’s hope 250 pay to watch so the club can make £100 to pay the tractor drivers travel expenses

Do the paramedics get travel expenses for going to the wrong stadium?

Insurance & referee are both free as part of sponsorship of the series . Track staff are all volunteers .
Stadium rent is paid per month not per meeting so no extra costs there.

The only paid people are paramedics .

Beaumont Park project was started on land on a fairly steep slope to incorporate multi events. Speedway was the first one started & is at the top. Turn 2 is the banking & pit entrance/exit. At Redcar, again, there is a hill but on turn 4. Again, this is banking & the pit entrance/exit.

You build on the lie of the land whatever is given to you.

I had a good look at the Leicester track for you during last night's extended interval... there's a hill in the middle of turns 1 and 2 it goes up and then down again before going up again to the entrance to the pits... then entering turn 3 it rises again at the end of the straight before dipping in the middle of turn 3 and rising again going into turn 4... seems like whoever built the track forgot their spirit level!

I get your impression of the track ,  but this might sound a bit strange but if you stand on the track and look at it from that angle it looks different agan.

There seemed to be a few struggling with the turn 3 dip last night

Hello Lions fans, Monarchs fan here looking for advice for next weekend. Is there public transport to the track (bus or taxi) from the city centre area or is it best to just drive?

Any bus going to the Beaumont Leys Shopping Centre, (route 14a) will be your best bet from the City Centre. They run every 20 minutes on a Saturday leaving the Haymarket Bus Station stand HG @ 05, 25 & 45 past the hour. Transit time is 33 mins. Its then a ten minute walk across the shopping centre car park to the track. Getting back the busses leave the shopping centre at 21:13 & 22:13 depending on the finish time. Taxi's easy to pick up in the CC and take a firms number for the return journey. I hope this is of help and if you make it down come along to the startline and say Hello. Depends on if you want a few drinks but drive would be easier IMHO.

Thank you so much W9, fantastic info. Not sure if I'll have a beer or not yet but this gives me the option. Your help is much appreciated, see you at the start line.

How do you think it's possible for me to order a Tobias Musielak shirt in whatever size I like in Poland for around £20? With personalisation.

There can't be that much call for them surely. How do you think they can still do that and still be making a profit? Genuine question.

I ordered a Justin EFkins shirt and it took 3 seasons to be delivered

The couriers van kept breaking down
