French league 2021 fixtures

Recommended Posts

If nothing unexpected happens, the French league will start again in Europe. According to the published schedule, the Ligue Nationale de Speedway will start on February 28, and the French will know the champion of the country on April 18 at the latest.

In 2020, the fight for the French championship also began in February. After the outbreak of the pandemic, however, the games had to be stopped and they did not return until August. If the plans of the French authorities succeed, this season the champion of the country will be able to emerge much faster, because the last round of the Ligue Nationale de Speedway was scheduled for April 18.

The title will be defended by Moto Club Réolais La Réole, which suffered only one defeat last season. It is the clash of the Southwestern France team that will kick off the season. The country's champions will travel to Morizès, who finished last in the LNdS last season. The other two teams are MC Lamothe-Landerron and MC Marmande.

Schedule of the Ligue Nationale de Speedway:
February 28:
Morizès Moto Club - Moto Club Réolais La Réole
March 7:
Moto Club Lamothe-Landerron - Morizès Moto Club
Moto Club Lamothe-Landerron - Moto Club Réolais La Réole

March 20:

March 27:

April 4:

April 11:

Morizès Moto Club - Moto Club Marmande
April 18:

Is there any squad lists available for the French league? Never seems to be any info anywhere

Snippets of info from the league(ligue Nationale  de Speedway) facebook page.

⚡️ Speedway National League Season 2021 is pointing the end of its nose.
Opening is fast approaching and the NSL schedule is constantly changing because of the pandemic.
Despite this, clubs are working hard to bring in the best riders and paddock rumors are going well about teams for the upcoming season.
At the time we write these lines nothing is definitely active but...
We're talking about Mathieu  and Stéphane Trésarrieu on the same team alongside for the Marmandese team!!!
On the side of La Réole we also talk about the Czech driver Josef Franc, he would be the man of experience of this championship. He would come to shoulder Ondrej Smetana the man in the shape of last season.
For Morizès, Long Track 2020 World Champion Lukas Fienhage would make his big comeback to the NSL, he will have to be a formidable customer, would be replacing one more season on the NSL certainly alongside Richie Worrall.
Tom Brennan would also make his return, the young rider is feeling with the Lamothe team.
David Bellego and are still negotiating with the clubs.
Of course our French hopes will still be part of it.
, , and everyone else will do everything they can to bring us as much show as possible on this 2021. edition.
Looking forward to May 13th for the opening! Watch out anyway, everything can still change as the pandemic is evolving in Europe.

Cheers for the information :t: Always come through with it

Already heard of all these riders, I just wondered who else France have got tbh... There seem to be a good crop of youngsters coming through

Gaetan Stella and Steven Goret being the stand outs...

Dunno how old the 2 Dubernards are, but if they're young, they look like good prospects also... Good for France

Jordan is 24 and Enzo moved from 250cc to 500cc in 2016 which suggests he's about 21

Also keep an eye out for Matias Tresarrieu, he's 17/18

Is Matias Tresarrieu related to the older Tresarrieus?

Thanks very much for the information, I had heard of Matias' name and saw his results, but hadn't realised his age!! I just assumed he was another of the Tressarieu brothers, one of the lesser known ones...

Where did you find all this information on the averages?

Yes. I think (but I'm not 100% certain) he is Stephaine's son.

I compiled them from the results which were on the ligue-francais website/Facebook group

Barry Bishop confirms that the Isle of Wight have staged preliminary talks with the French League!

Why not?

If logistics allow it to happen, why not give it a go...

I am sure if nothing else the promotion of every meeting would leave no one on the island in any doubt that the IOW were in 'European competition', which should generate plenty of curious interest...

Surely a very risky undertaking at the moment ? France heading for a third wave and stricter measures again

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-56450880

In terms of speedway, does that really matter though? It’s clear that no French fans would travel to IOW and from an IOW perspective it didn’t matter if their meeting in France has fans or not. It would only be the riders and management travelling to France and they’re likely to need vaccines or negative swabs anyway, the same as anyone else travelling for business or leisure this summer.

Well I was more thinking of quarantine rules etc, which currently mean some football matches have to be played in other countries. Is it likely that all speedway riders will be vaccinated or get a vaccine passport by May ? Same for the French teams that come to the UK. As I say, at this moment in time it all looks very risky planning when measures could come in overnight which change things radically. Hard enough being certain about national sport, without the complexities of international......saying that though, in normal times I do like the idea
