Personally think it's going to be beneficial in the long run

I'm guessing at inclusion of 125cc/250cc heats (like the Northern Junior League)

Might need to switch to 4TT format (like German Team Cup and Sweden Lge 1 who both include 250cc heats)

No don't think so even though I do believe the inclusion of 250cc riders in the scunthorpe Leicester challenge last year was a success. Think it's more on the structure and make ups rather than capacity of the machines

Dropping capacity wont work as you cannot sensibly supply enough riders from the youth classes across the league plus the majority of the teams are run midweek.

I hope its a cap on the top riders averages creating more strength in depth sides as just reducing the team build averages artificially inflates the averages of riders and creates the impression they are better than they are.

Well they have had their meeting / AGM, now stand by for the bombshell to explode....some of you aren’t going to like it.

Is this statement definitely correct? Just wondering. Also it would be amazing if any speedway AGM, pleased everyone. And if it is being kept secret, why?

Just hope there is an NDL as it's being too quiet and worries that it might be just a second half for the PL Clubs as that was planned for 2020 initially.

Hope the news will come out quicker than the Fixtures for PL/CL have!

NDL riders above reserve level were never going to do the PL 2nd halves and why would they. Little or no money, little or guarantee that the meeting won't be binned if the main event over ran, limited benefit other than additional track time. Only emerging amateurs who were desperate to put themselves in the window would put themselves through that kind of torture with limited opportunities of progression.

Kent's traditional curfew call offs might be harder to stomach at £20 a time. I always felt speedway would be in trouble when the price increased to over a pound a race.

Maybe they are introducing the use of uprights and veterans to make the numbers up - the likes of Wayne carter and Gary o'hare can still go at a fair whack .

Kent already have Ledwith & Hurry in their plans so a few  more won't do any harm. In hilarious contrast to the upper two leagues (who think so highly of themselves that they seldom reference the NDL) the introduction of a minimum age limit. All riders to be 25 and above, no exams etc to worry about and bonus points offered for any side with a combined age that exceeds 220.

the answer is in the title Development league lol

With respect to some riders , they only develop to a standard that's still scary at best when you watch them ride. Bring back the use of uprights and it will bring back the spectators ( along with an admission price that is appropriate).

The same development that the BSPL has repeatedly tried to shoot down as they cannot take any credit for it?

With respect to some riders that applies in much higher leagues also. Promotors are only concerned with points and not the manner of riding or safety of other competitors or themselves. Fans can be as bad with one persons dangerous is another's view of exciting.

When will the news be announced? Sometime this year I hope... Seems to take them an age to do anything, and then they wonder why interest is falling...

Nothing will be announced till the number of clubs participating is decided ( one club still thinking of moving up, 2 others waiting to see how there stadiums will cope with any restriction ) and others now waiting to see if they can get a competitive team together under the new rules.

They can’t release anything till they know who’s in , which makes sense. They don't want to say something silly like “ fixtures will be posted next week “ and then nothing happens!
