SON 2021 finals Sat/Sun 16th/17th Oct- FINALS START AT 4PM BOTH DAYS

Recommended Posts

Has anyone any info on car parking & charges please?

Can you pre-book?

Is it St Peter's School as on Monday?

There's no info on the SON website, so have I missed something elsewhere?

I know it isn't a Belle Vue event - though they are selling hospitality - so, thought I'd 'phone to see if they had any info - but there's been no reply today.

To be fair, Dan was in a good team while Robert was in a rubbish team.

Robert was below the top 3 Wroclaw riders in the averages as well

I wouldn't say Torun were rubbish. They were establishing themselves after promotion. And for your second comment, there's not many riders above wroclaws top 3! They're all in the top 6 in the world! The facts are Lambert has had a stronger season from a league perspective which gives a better impression over a longer time period. The only competition bewley was better than him in is the SEC which Lambert won last year and the GP challenge which was just a farcical track.

It's mind blowing that some are angry at the selection of Lambert. He's in the top 10 in both the GPs and the best league in the world. He was top of his team's averages whereas Bewley was just about 4th. He's has had a good season but Lambert has the experience of top level events. We all know the FIM track prep virtually removes home track knowledge so Lambert is a no brainer for me

I agree with the selection of Lambert, but your quote 'Bewleys was just about 4th.' Well It's not a bad effort when you consider the three riders above above are the current world champion, a three times ex world champion and arguably Polands 2nd best rider.

If Lambert doesnt do well...

"We should have picked Bewley"...

For all the plausible reasons we have listed..

If we had picked Bewley and he hadn't done well..

"We should have picked Lambert"..

For all the other plausible reasons for doing so listed...

A very close call with, for me, Lambert still slightly ahead of Bewley...

Thanks for that do you know how far the nearest train station is

Don't bother with train, there is only 1 every hour at weekends.

Buses should be about every 10 mins on Hyde Road . Uber won't cost much.

Can anyone advise the best way to get into town after the meeting, bus, taxi , is there a train station close?

My family and I aren't locals and have always found it relatively easy to get the bus from near Manchester Piccadilly and then 5 walk to the NSS. Usually plenty of buses run to Belle Vue / Hyde Road.
