racers and royals
I`m not sure why the FIM and BSI/IMG are slow at informing the public these days- final teams for the SON semi`s( 2+ U21) have to be finalised 6 days before the event - surely it`s time for them to be announced !!! Fair point but it is one of several that he's had there this season. It certainly seemed to be pleasing Steady on tv last week as he was laughing and joking with him during and after the meeting after a 14+1 paid max. Proving his consistency of getting them around there is a step above one maximum & that wud sway my thoughts. Plus he's the track record holder. It is tho a tough call for wot I believe is a straight choice between him and Lambert SEC Champion & GP rider. Gotta be Bewley, surely? Better choose Tai coz I got me Tai Woffinden starter kit ready to wear! Anywayz I know Tai is definitely over ere in October so not to pick him wud be like well a bit silly really Edited September 14, 2021 by PirateShip

If not hope they do and realise extra tickets from a selfish point of view as looking to now attend. At the moment they can’t, as there is a covid test centre on that bend! We’ve been hoping it would have gone by now but no signs of it leaving yet unfortunately.

Speedway Star still advertising a ticket and accommodation package for the weekend The SON website is showing the capacity at 4,000 which I'm sure is without the temporary stands. OveFundinFan
I asked the question on here at least a month ago and the answer was No. It would be too risky being October. When they did it in 2016 it was June time, nice summer evenings, and it was still sold out, but almost full.

LagutaRacingFan
Just looking at that line-up is depressing. One world-class rider in the entire field. Anyone else remember the days of an SWC event including the likes of Crump, Gollob, Pedersen, Rickardsson and Adams. allthegearbutnaeidea
What happens to Germany now, if Smolinski can’t ride? Although why would they name him yesterday if he crashed on Saturday

The deadline wasn`t yesterday morning when it was announced. Riders can be replaced if injured so they will bring in either Riss, Fienhage , Busch or Hartel i expect or promote Blodorn and bring in Baumann. OveFundinFan
Not on that occasion Ian. I was sat in the temporary stand on bend 3-4. It was a track that prepared wrong on the Friday evening, too grippy, fast track, no racing. Someone else must have took the lead for Saturday night as the track was prepared differently and racing was very good.

Yes, from memory it did rain in the lead up to the meeting leaving the track heavy and the racing processional... the next day was awesome though
