Which one did he sell, Witches or Panthers?

He never finalised the purchase of the Witches and it just reverted to the status quo

King's Lynn Twitter reporting that the plan is for the Premiership to go ahead with the 6 remaining teams and a proposed May start date.

Nothing says deluded like them thinking they are going to start in May!! Absolutely no chance. July at the absolute earliest I'd say.

Good point. Sky had a stipulation for a minimum number of teams didn't they? I wonder if Eurosport have something similar

Would normally expect a Club to move up to make 7.

Or will it be  1 Club to move out and 2 Clubs to move up to make 7

Or maybe 1 Club to move out and 1 Club to move up to make 6

Will the AGM happen this week?

Who knows, crazy times!

Law on contract doesn’t work like that only in Bspl fairy land. Good lawyer will run rings round them.

An example. A few years ago Lakeside signed the ageing Bjarne Pedersen. A few weeks before the season started Lewis Bridger came out of retirement and was a much better prospect than the past-his- sell-by-date Pedersen, so before a wheel was turned  Pedersen was sacked and replaced by Bridger.

Nothing Pedersen could do about it. His only remedy was to sue for loss of earnings but as he hadn’t raced he hadn’t earned anything.. Tough on Bjarne but he cant claim loss of money he never had in the first place.

Back in November and December weren't people being encouraged to drive hundreds of miles to ride speedway bikes round Scunthorpe?

Pot kettle black!

And with covid19 restrictions in place & social distancing observed.

Is the AGM meant to be this weekend?

This Thursday.
Stand by for another postponement as officially one less premiership team and now two other clubs with dog tracks being told no crowds this year. If there’s to be a season, and it’s a big IF, they have to have a premiership to comply with the TV contract so they will be pressing the likes of Poole and Somerset to step up with a promise of a bigger slice of the TV money and using Doyle as the no.1 in which ever team will step up, as he’s ridden for both of them in the past.

Well according to the Bournemouth Echo, publically Poole aren't looking to move back up..

“Obviously losing Swindon is a massive blow for the Premiership but our plans stay the same. We are committed to the Championship for 2021.”

That figures.

As I mentioned yesterday concerns over another PL Club

It's only a local rumour but have heard Wolverhampton may have issues with Ladbrokes and crowds and may sit out season.

Don't know if Brummies affected as not Ladbrokes.

The Championship are not the problem when and if the season gets the go ahead.IMO

Once again the BIG league are the problem. One of these days !!!!

May be best if Championship had the TV deal for 2021 if 12 teams as far more interesting and competitive league.

He would have lost out financially so would have had a claim.

What has he lost ? How does he prove his loss ? How can he prove he wouldn’t have crashed on the first bend and been out for the season ?

The three essential parts of a contract are offer acceptance and consideration (ie paymement). But whichever way you break it down the season ends on 31st October all contracts lapse. Speedway has been around long enough that even the thickest of promoters (ie Rob Godfrey) have all these things tied up in standard contracts.
