The numbers in the Championship is full of youth. But being there they're getting found out quickly and stall. Current crop of 16-18yo is not better than years gone by. In fact, I'd say they're worse, no future GP rider's in the making at all, none of them. After Lambert we really have nothing to look forward to imo. Anders Rowe is doing very well in Poland

I think Kemp and Palin will go on to a good level. To early to say really though.Thet have to get opportunities abroad to improve,it’s a different game over there. Many will be happy to earn money in GB though. Fingers crossed he does come good though, we desperately need some quality.
Bagpuss
Nobody without a crystal ball or time machine can possibly know who will or won’t succeed out of the current crop but it’s certain they are far more likely to with more exposure to continental circuits and being pushed in the UK away from the NL. We need to be following their model.

The Thompson Twins seem to be on the route to success and are getting good reviews wherever they ride. I assume they must have good backing and sponsors especially as I notice they use different engines which must add to the cost of spares (even though one is an easier maintained Gerhard) Edited September 21, 2020 by cinderfella

cityrebel
I've just seen a post on Facebook, saying fans might not be allowed in because of new covid restrictions. It wouldn't suprise me if this happens.

chris4gillian
So if an Aussie wins this meeting, will they still be crowned the 'British' Champion 2020? Utterly laughable if that's the case. Does the winner still get a place at Cardiff in 2021? Again if an Aussie wins, will it then be the highest placed Brit? Come on BSPA, rename it the British Open (or similar) for goodness sake! This is 100% not a British Final is it is supposed to be.

It is normally the winner of that year's British Championship that gets the wildcard. Does Jason Crump need a visa to ride here this year? If not, then surely he is here as British.
