Which it was.

They probably list it that way as the original concept was the riders on old Honda type 125cc engines but , speedway being speedway, riders sought quicker more expensive engines and some began using oversized 140 pit bike engines . They then said sealed engines only but that was openly flouted and now it’s a free for all and no engines get checked anyway.

As there’s virtually nothing in the rule book covering these machines it is basically a ride what ever you like class as long as it’s classed as ‘ safe ‘.

It might have been youth racing but the twitter page said British Youth at 5pm when main meeting at Newcastle was at 4pm(you will NEVER get a meeting done in 60 minutes). They then had the result of the Youth meeting held at Scunthorpe so my original post was correct & the British Speedway twitter had it wrong.

Thank you!

£10 admission to watch the youth at Leicester and others on the forum think it should be that to watch a main match, something of an imbalance there.

Personally think £10 is a bit much but will be some good racing on show . The 250 class is the strongest this year and usually provides the best action

Only 1 round completed so far and very lightly supported in the below 2 classes. Vinnie Foord was due out in the 500's but instead they ran 3 rider races. Not much better in the 250's with the 4 below and Ashton Vale completing the line up.

500cc: Sam McGurk, Jody Scott, Max James
250cc: Luke Harrison, Sonny Springer, William Cairns, Jamie Etherington
