I'm not sure what Leon has done this year but full credit to him for going. He will have learned loads...as Tom did when he did the U-19s a couple of years ago. Riding in Europe is the way forward for these youngsters as has been shown by Robert Lambert; an extraordinary talent who has raced in the hard leagues of Poland where the promoters are, to coin a phrase, Ruthless. Leon rode very well in his NL debut season for Brummies in 2018. Brennan impressed me very much at PB last year before his injury. Well done both lads. I understand Kyle Bickley was offered the slot but turned it down as he hadn't had any racing. That's not the attitude anyone wants to see. Hopefully Leon and Tom will be in U21 Team for Team Champs and not stay at home Bickley.

Bit unfair to criticise Bickley ,there probably a few more reasons he turned it down( unless you know them all) and it’s his prerogative. He has acted Professionally throughout his career.Im sure young Brennan will thank him for his unselfish gesture. Extenuating circumstances of course, it isn’t a normal season so to criticise him for lack of effort or desire by saying no would be wrong imo. Ringitsneck
Give the lad a break. Like a lot of riders he has found himself a job and a regular wage, his employer would not be happy if he decided to disappear on a new job to a loss making adventure abroad with all the issues that would involve ( isolation ?).

It was good to see the clip on BBC Look North tonight, don't think they could have had a wetter session. If it had been a TV meeting it would almost certainly have been called off

crescent girl
Good to learn of the young Bandits, and Academy riders such as "oor wee Luke" getting pointers from the greatest Australian rider of all time. The GHT Academy at Duns is running on Sunday August 23rd, open to riders of all classes and experience. £35 per rider, must have your own equipment -- social distancing will be observed (of course).

screm
Berwick`s Leon Flint is currently riding in the European Under-19 Qualifier in Pardubice, after two rides he has 1pt. Better news on the other British riders Drew Kemp and Jordan Palin who both have 5pts, unfortunately the other British rider Jason Edwards has suffered a fall in his second ride after a scoreless first. Anyone heard if Berwick staging any meetings? See Redcar held a Teesside Open recently. Imagine close door and Leon Flint and name from past Greg Blair riding Wondered on Youth Championship, NL Challenge or Individual? Mentioned on the club website they keen to stage
