Schwantz34
Training from Russia, all the big hitters are there and anticipating some good racing. Whoever does these videos makes a great job, usually online a day or two after any event. From the stuff I've seen so far, aside from Ivanov, Khomitsevich, Koltakov, Valeev and Kononov I'd say Nikita Bogdanov is looking very fast

So basically 4 Germans Pretty surprised at the allocation; especially the allocation of only two places to Swedish riders. Unless Aki-Ala Rihimaki fances doing the GP rounds, I'm not sure who in Finland wishes to compete/is capable of competing at GP level. I fear it is just a refection of the shrinking ice speedway world. We have over the last decade seen a continual reduction of Russian riders, in theory to help the west. But all it has done is make the GP series weaker and weaker. We will this season probably end up with what is basically a series no stronger than the European Final

In all honesty, the Russian final is far stronger than the World Championship rounds. I could count on one hand, the number of non-Russians who would be of sufficient standard to compete in the Russian final.

Bavarian
The World Championship rounds in Togliatti are in doubt now because the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) has banned the Russians from hosting any World Championship Events in any Sport (including motorsports, with the exception of Formula 1 ! ) until the end of 2022. This will also affect the SGP in Togliatti in the summer.

iris123
I don’t understand what is new. This was decided a year ago and Speedweek reported back then and everything was ok for this year, so why not next ? All that has happened surely is the ban carries on Last years report https://www.speedweek.com/speedwaygp/news/152894/Sperre-fuer-Russland-Was-aus-den-Grands-Prix-wird.html

Thats why I asked.
