Jonny the spud
Bearing in mind that quite a few clubs are seriously upping their social media content during the lockdown, would it benefit the main league sponsor (who was just about to be announced) to have their profile out there in public? It gives them exposure before any reduced season can be up and running. With all the hard work the BSPA put into securing them surely getting their name out there can only be beneficial.... BuxtonTiger
Yes. But they need to be announced first. Perhaps the virus has caused them to rethink.
craigACE
Hope the money was handed over. Might have 2nd thoughts or no choice to go back on it now.
Jonny the spud
Surely if it was almost in the bag naming them so that we can get some publicity out there can only be a good thing ?
Falcon1983
No point naming them as there would be clauses in any deal voiding it so would imagine its "on hold" until further notice and if covid19 has caused financial loss then the contract will be ripped up. Also its quite common for it to be paid in installments also.
greyhoundp
Yes but this deal is being arranged by "Hatfits" who have been hired by the BSPL and as such until a deal has been signed sealed and delivered it would be somewhat jumping the gun to make any announcement.. https://www.hatfits.com/who-we-are

Any sponsor will want maximum publicity for their buck. Currently they would not get that. They would not want to waste valuable advertising money/contract length on the current avenues available. If the BPSA want to give them freebies at the minute then I’m sure the sponsor would not object, however I would be surprised if that happens.
noaksey
Didn't he say something like he hopes it can be reactivated? So clearly not a done deal
