My Dad is an 80 yr old Scunthorpe Scorpions fan and also an avid reader , due to the horrid virus were all having to deal with he has had to self isolate .

With having a lot of time on his hands I'm wanting to purchase new or secondhand books relating to his favourite sport to fill his time .Before Scunthorpe we both followed Hull Vikings until there demise so what I'm asking can people recommend books relating to the sport and without the obvious one EBAY any outlets that stock these books or anyone wanting to sell some of there own collection .

Thanks in Advance

I did come across a book about the History of Hull Speedway when in a second hand book store a couple of years ago now. You may still be able to obtain a copy?

If any of you are ever looking for books, abebooks is a great website, and you can compare prices from different stores around the world (including places like World of Books). I have bought dozens of books through abebooks.

As Luck Would Have It by Len Silver,

Raw Speed by Tai Woffinden & Peter Oakes,

Tommy Jansson, Legend Who Died Young by Magnus Nystrom,

Both Sides Of the Fence by Reg Fearman.

My list goes on, books all about speedway obviously but also books to really get one's teeth into and really get into & behind the stories told.  Though I don't reccomened actually eating any of the titles :D....
