speedy bill
Josh Auty must be the best rider who as not got a premier team .He has his testimonial on March 22 at Scunny he is on a 4.68 average for the premier and would do a good job for any team.A real racer and he is British but that might go against him.

Bagpuss
The fact he is British has very little to do with it, it’s more that he has been around for years and still can’t gate, and therefore isn’t consistent or reliable enough.

Auty hasn't had a regular gig in the top league for quite a while now, clearly the promoters/managers dont see him as good enough, even on an attractive average. Decent rider at Championship level where he has found his level IMO.

tocha
He will be 30 next Septmber. One rider who doesn't have PL place, and I don't why, is Josh Pickering.

His average is exactly his level and it's obvious promoters don't see it as one thats likely to be improving any time soon.. Fans sometimes get blinded by the riding styles of riders and link it to their ability level.. Coming from last to third or second with a last bend pass after two or three laps of trying to get round your opponent might look great, but it hasn't won you the race.. You can run a second and three thirds, passing riders 'around the boards' in every race, and be 'rider of the night' in the eyes of the fans given the 'thrilling way' you did it.. Its still only five points though, and every heat could still have been a heat advantage to the opposition..
speedy bill
RATHER WATCH A RIDER LIKE Josh coming from the back and providing top entertainment ,than the boring gate and gone merchants ,that is not good speedway
Vince
Be interesting to see what Josh could do with a season in a team with Jason Crump or Nicki Pedersen helping him out with his gating and set ups
