dave1075
With the current fires spreading in New South Wales around Sydney & Victoria I wonder if the Australian Championships will go ahead. It is a worrying time for everyone who are affected by the terrifying scenes across the country & our thoughts go out to them. racers and royals
Today`s 1st round delayed by an hour because of extreme heat(43 C earlier) should be getting underway any minute- live updates from Lunchy here http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/19593/australian-championship-kurri-2020-30am Edited January 4, 2020 by racers and royals
Bavarian
very poor meeting at Kurri Kurri tonight, certainly not a good advert for solo speedway in Australia Better to watch Tai Woffinden in a1000cc sidecar at the Pinjar Park Speedway over in Perth, Western Australia https://www.facebook.com/PinjarPark/photos/a.10152390793038027/10156852547463027/?type=3&theater

iris123
Yes, he posted a link from 'Make smoking history Pinjar Park' , on FB. Probably the same link. But thanks
Bavarian
Cool, Tai Woofinden as passenger with Trent Headland in the 1000cc sidecars. Good that they don't exclude for tape touching, but instead send the offender back to the 15yard penalty startline ! Provides us with a bit of handicap racing, with Headland / Woffinden off the 15m start going from 4th to second place. Love that ! Great TV quality coverage from Pinjar Park this is worth watching, folks !
Bavarian
The Aussie Championship meeting at Kurri Kurri has been abandoned due to unsafe track conditions ! The Jeff Gittus Sidecar Memeorial at Pinjar Park International Speedway in Perth is a beauty to watch on the livestream. I love the variety of different solo and sidecar classes in this meeting. Pinny
The extreme heat conditions here would of had something to do with it, obviously an Aussie summer is always hot but this recent heatwave has been something else. to put it into perspective, in Victoria the Union us construction workers work under has a rule of as soon as it hits 35 degrees, you down tools and go home. We normally get 2-3 per summer, summer has only just started and we have had 6 already. And theres two months of summer left.

rocketrod
Rohan pulled that out of the bag from gate 1 after the night he had. Good meeting in what must be very difficult conditions. This could well go to the final of the last meeting as the top 8 are so strong.
