Mark
Awful crash. I can't decide who was at fault. A racing incident but tough on Lebedevs.

Who did the ref exclude? But it could be said that Lebedevs should be more aware of what's around him. Constantly blocking his own, faster teammate all race & previous heat before that too. Lebedevs is a liability for Rybnik.

Who did the ref exclude? Lambert had so much speed that I actually think he runs off his line unintentionally as he quickly corrects it and turns right around the start line. Sadly it was too late before he made contact with Lebedevs. There is no way that Lambert has intentionally turned left and cut across him there.
Pinny
Lambert completely at fault... intentional?! No.

Who did the ref exclude? The ref had to exclude a rider but as we've seen before there are plenty of 50/50's. Lebedevs had no concern for Lambert in this heat as he got in his way plenty of times. He never looked round to see his partner and give him room. Lambert was quicker but had to get off the gas plenty of times in the heat because his partner put him against the fence. Lebedevs caused the problem.

Are you suggesting that the ref should have stopped the race prior to Lambert doing a blatant left on him and excluded Lebedevs for inconsiderate riding? NO. Lebedevs rode as if Lambert was riding for the opposition, no consideration for his team partner with no room given and constant blocking. Lambert was quicker so he went round the outside. Maybe the red mist fell but only Lambert would know. Would not blame him if that was the case.

Fromafar
Lebedevs is all over the place in most of his races,he doesn’t seem to have any awareness of what’s going on round about him.Lambert rightly excluded though.

I said "maybe red mist fell, would not blame him" for that. Only Robert Lambert knows if he got angry but I'd not blame him if he did. Lebedevs was a road block and dangerous by pushing Lambert very wide a few times and running him up the fence on the straights. Would not be impressed if he fenced Lebedevs on purpose but doubt that happened. But he seemed determined to get past. It was safer in front than behind his team partner. 1 hour ago, iainb said: So Lambert excluded? Yes. But the ref had to exclude someone. Lebedevs was the unfortunate victim of his own team riding skills. I've explained why.
Bagpuss
Robert rightly excluded but there is no way on earth it was intentional.....it could have been him cartwheeling down the straight breaking bones and after the season he had with crashes last year he wouldn’t risk that. It was either a misjudgment or a momentary lack of control, I suspect the former.
