Guest
Can anyone confirm the date of the last speedway meeting at Wimbledon in 2005? Also, what the meeting staged was? Thank you.
Chadster
According to the Speedway Researcher website it was 5th October. The meeting was 'The Laurels' and it was won by Mark Burrows.

And if I am correct my cousin Martin Elliott finished last in the last heat, and is proud he was the last rider to officially ride the track 3

Pinny
Didn’t you state the other day you attended the last ever meeting????

Trouble was with my increasing age years I couldn't recall what the event may have been. I needed a 'refresher'. Wasn't there a tie break race to decide the actual winner? All sounds plausible until you see that he is writing articles about events much further back than that. Now he either has a selective memory or he knows where to research things. Given that and his continual posting of links to historical sites I would think it very strange that he asks about this meeting or in a previous thread asks about the size of a certain track he has previously written about on a number of ocassions.... Look at the evidence and judge, rather than jump in and post

Look at the evidence and judge, rather than jump in and post Sorry for jumping in and posting , I will ask your permission next time looking further at the "evidence" I notice that most of the people who criticize Gustix rarely write anything interesting or intelligent themselves , yet they enjoy calling an old man names

Other Beliefs are seemingly treated as they should be - WITH RESPECT.
