gp challenge 2020

Interesting that Adam Ellis gets the pick rather then Charles Wright. Would have been good to have the current British Champion in the field. Or perhaps Charles didnt want it.

Also Greg Laguta having a go. I thought he given up on being in GP seires.

Who knows exactly - at least Adam Ellis is riding in Poland, whereas it would be asking a lot for Charles Wright to jump into such a meeting with no recent match experience.

Personally, I'm surprised that Greg Laguta is giving it a go; with the standard of the line-up being weaker than recent years, it gives him and the likes of Timo Lahti their best ever chance of getting to the GPs.

I don't think having Fricke and Zagar in the meeting is right; unlike every other GP rider they now have two bites of the cherry when it comes to qualifying for next year. Equally, I'm surprised that the Australians haven't offered anyone else the chance to take part, as they are not exactly short of active riders.

With Lambert already qualified and Woffy odds on to challenge for the title, Ellis is the only other Brit riding that’s anywhere near the standard needed. If nothing more, great experience for one of the younger Brits.

logical and decent decision from the powers that be, for once!

As British champion I would have liked to have seen Wright in the field. Perhaps he was offered and turned it down. However, the likelihood of him qualifying would have been slim. Common sense prevailed at least and the place was offered to a rider who can take the opportunity and learn from it rather than giving it to Chris Harris or Craig Cook.

Hard to look past Laguta and Fricke, can see Michelsen, Zagar and Kasprzak fighting it out for the third spot.

Given his performances in the SEC (which this line up looks loosely based on) KK back in the GPS would be an absolute travesty! (41st in the Ekstraliga averages)

Surely the likes of Smektala, Kubera or Prezedpleski would have been better?

Presume the Pawlicki’s are still out of favour with PZM?

The line up isn’t great overall, granted there are circumstances beyond the control of anyone but we could be inflicted with three seriously under-par riders in the GP next year if things pan out against the favourites in this meeting.

Unless Kasprzak ups his game considerably from the SEC and Ekstraliga, he shouldn't be troubling the qualifiers.

I honestly think Timo Lahti has a better chance than most; especially if he replicates his performance from the last two SEC rounds.

And that says all about the standard of meeting if timo lahti has a very good chance of qualifying. No offence to him decent rider but no where near GP standard.
