Doubt he would take the chance though. Great news that Watling JCB is continuing the support, a loyal sponsor is like gold these days, but the club has to put in the work to keep the goodwill relationship. A far cry from the Hemsley days when relationships with sponsors were, I think, a bit turbulent. So that's one up on Poole already. Next up is Dickson v Ford on the team building. Bring it on! Think most Promotions will have enough of Lasse Bjerre.

BrizHeathen
Very early days for 2020 team building but I wonder if Nick Morris would fit (instead of Bjerre)?
flagrag
Brizheathen- Nick Morris would be a good signing at Leicester and I am confident that he could overcome his recent demons with the track as he used to be amazing around Beaumont Park. It’s also nice and local for you to come and watch him as well

Scott is probably not going to add much, if anything, to his 8.35. Along with his TV duties on Saturdays i'd be surprised to see him back. I'd like to see Perks, Mountain & Douglas back, although i'm not sure Douglas really mastered the Leicester track, as his home average of 7.61 in comparison to an away one of 8.86 shows. I think Richie Worrall could feature again, if I remember when interviewed he said how much he likes riding for Stewart Dickson, so if fully fit I could see him featuring. Whatever happens it's going to be hard to follow this season. We'll have him!!!

steve9
Lots of championship teams now beginning to make team building announcements ahead of AGM. Very quiet from the club on Lions plans for 2020, anybody heard any rumours about potential signings as we look to build on this seasons success? flagrag
BrizHeathen- I do hope that you and the family will be a regular at Beaumont Park in 2020 and I do think it will be a good move for your boy. As confirmed at the Leicester end of season presentation team plans are well advanced with some familiar faces set to return along with some new exciting riders to join the club. Let’s remember it’s a long winter so fans and management are still enjoying the success of 2019 Edited November 4, 2019 by flagrag

Probably the best decision for all kinds of reasons apart from the BT Sport thing. Think back to Joe Screen at Glasgow, there are some similarities I think and maybe Dickson has that in mind too. It's a real shame the Lions didn't get Scotty Nicholls on board many years ago, I'm sure he would be leaving now with the club having been better for his prescence over a longer time period. Robbobee
Massive thanks to the departing Scott Nicholls for his efforts as a rider and as our influential captain in Season 2019 - huge respect for the guy as an accomplished speedway rider over many years .... hope the future holds good things for you wherever you end up Scotty !! 2
bruno
Agreed I think we forget how close Scott got to the very top for a few seasons along with Bomber. Never going to be World Champs I suppose but great careers

I would put Kent much higher up the list of possible clubs. Edited November 6, 2019 by Skidder1

Let's not be too quick to write Scott off, especially at CL level. He captained the side to the Championship and finished top of the averages, he may not be as competitive as he used to be at the highest level but he is one of a handful of riders (in the CL) that have mastered BP and I would pay to watch. The place will be poorer without him.
