Yes that’s what I noticed last night. When you support any team in any sport the minimum requirement you want from your team is effort and he didn’t disappoint. He put his heart and sole into his racing not like someone else in the team. Supporters work hard for their money and when I go and support my team I expect 100% effort. We’ve had some good young lads guest for Bates ( Rowe Brennan and Hume ) have give their all and deserve to be given their chance   At least they generally stay upright for 4 laps

The three you named Charlie ; touch wood all of them will all go on and progress in there career.I like all three of those lads.Brennan and Rowe i have followed ever since there mini track appearances at Swindon .  Brennan was impressive in a few appearances for the Robins a couple of seasons ago Rowe has also made huge strides in a short amount of time.

Yes I hope they do. We need a new influx of talent coming thro. These lads are only guesting and have put loads of effort in which is great to see and much appreciated. We’ve had guests in the past who have just turned up basically. We miss our training track at sheffield. Shame really because the more facilities available to the young lads the more practice they get. It’s handy for the lads if they don’t have to travel too far to get some laps in

Batchelor now signed for Kent…. So watch for a sudden improvement in his scores for Sheffield

Batchelor scores 16 for Kent against the Brummies, including wins against Chris Harris in heats 13 and 15 - the same rider who trampled all over him in the Peterborough home defeat.

Does this mark a resurgence in Batchelor's form, or is he just taking the pi55 in Sheffield colours?

He's always been erratic throughout his career for club or country, just continuing with the same trend I imagine.

He takes the pi55 in everyone’s colours, that why he has ridden for nearly everyone

Hume has rode well so far and deserves his chance. Bachelor smashing it again tonight for kent.  His attitude gets more questionable with every meeting.

You beat Wolves on Thursday Charlie a tough ask  ( Wolves  are my title winners hope not)  regroup the Tigers still have  alot to race for.

Maybe the riders do need regular track time and many like Troy thrive on racing but the U.K. scene is not conducive to likes of Troy and many others. Hit and miss meetings and without doubling up (which I am not a fan of) these guys are rusty and in the current climate travelling around Europe is not going to work. U K speedway could help every rider by being innovative by putting on meaningful sponsored individual meetings and the 4T T to give these guys track time. What we currently have is a formula that may have worked in normal times but that does not apply now.and the powers that be will never admit that they have failed the riders and the punters with their intransigence which is the core of the problem here in the UK. Don’t knock the riders blame the sport’s managers who sit on the top table

The changes we’ve made have been positive. I’d love bachelor to hit his Swindon form and I would like to keep this 7 together if he does but we can’t keep waiting for him to hit form. I think this Thursday he either shows up and performs or gets sacked   If all seven hit form at the same time I think we can beat wolves again

British speedway is in a downward spiral thanks to the way it’s been run. I agree we should have had more meetings. Going without home meetings when the weather is fine is a joke. The sports managers don’t ride the bikes tho and as I’ve said in other posts bachelor can go and practice at Leicester any time as the Bates own it  I know it’s not the same as proper racing but he said he doesn’t feel comfortable on the bike so surely if you get an opportunity to have a blast you would take it as it’s his profession. I’ve watched him home and away this season and half his races he can’t be arsed. When he gates he looks class. All I ask as a paying fan is 100% effort  and when we have time off work to travel to support him I don’t think that’s a lot to ask.
