I’d say he couldn’t guest in the PL - the regulation states:

Rising Star riders can only compete in 2 leagues at any one time.

although that phrase is open to interpretation…..

Leon Flint raced for Wolves as a RS guest before he joined them officially.  It was only after he was added as their official RS two weeks later that he had to step back from Berwick Bullets 1-7.

If he fits in place of Wells then absolutely.

That's a fair point but unfortunately take us over by 0.26. 5.02 or below to replace Wells or, 10.93 for Wells & Heeps

Just done a quick comparison, for Sheffield's starting seven, comparing their starting averages, to their average for this year to date. The increase or decrease as follows,

Holder     + 1.73

Ellis          + 1.41

Howarth  +0.72

Sedgemen + 0.22

Wright      - 0.14

Batchelor - 2.53

Bates        -2.77.

Whist I believe that making the change of Pickering for Sedgemen does improve the team, does make you feel some sympathy that Sedgemen lost his place.

Also shows some reasons why Sheffield could struggle to make the play offs.

Definitely feel for Sedgy he nothing wrong really, but at present Josh Pickering is on a different level.

We are currently a 4 man team with 3 iffy riders. If Bachelor can get consistent and we can replace the reserves we could be very competitive in the top 4 but while we’ve got Bachelor in erratic form and wright doing nothing after heat 2 and Bates being a liability we are going to be lucky to qualify for the play offs as these stats prove

If you sign a 3.00 reserve & put him in the harder number 6 position, you can't expect him to score much after heat 2!

I don’t expect him to get double figures everywhere but he’s more experienced than Kemp Brennan Rowe who often score more than 3 points !!!!

Josh Auty would be a better bet than Batchelor & would allow a bit of freedom for other changes.

Hasn’t done anything in the top flight before. To replace Batchelor?? Most bizarre move if that was to happen and would guarantee bottom spot.

We only need him to score about 6 points maximum per match to outscore Batchelor

Batch is way better than that .Something going on here. Intrigued by this........

If Troy's trying to get his rolling average down to join a CL team he's doing a reasonable job of it.

Starting rolling average 8.82

July rolling average       8.33

Current rolling average (as of 15/07) 7.67

Actual season average  6.05.

If he suddenly drops down,i would sack him.
