Berwick, Sheffield and Kent.

Recommended Posts

Berwick and Kent unlikely to come up. They dipped there too in but didn't like what was planned. Fixed race nights to be scrapped. Both Holders to Sheffield add to that josh g.

7 teams top league again (yawn) sheffield to just take over poole riders.

IMO it would be madness to scrap 'fixed race nights' These have been approved by the FIM. Why would you risk losing riders to other leagues on days which aren't designated for GB Speedway.

Exactly. I don't see how anyone could ride Weds for example, with Denmark riding.

Because crowds were bigger when teams were using guests and R/R on there preferred race nights to having full teams on off race nights.

And people were saying the amount of guests being used was making the sport a laughing stock

It's not ideal for fans or management. But management have to look after themselves. If They get bigger crowds on a certain race night then use them. It's good business sense

Exactly. Plus it won’t stop the whingers having something else to moan about as their default setting.

Has to be preferred night racing to get the local fans back.

whilst fixed night racing has cured the riders missing situation the bigger picture has seen more and more clubs close and struggle to get crowds to attend.

It’s quite simple. Ride on the night of your choice. Pick a team of riders who won’t be affected by this race night. If opposition teams are affected then so be it.

If Wednesday nights are back on in the top league then hopefully Ford will change his mind and you will stay up.

I really don't get all these race night arguments. If it's midweek which ever day it is, you gain some you lose some due to work commitments. Friday and Saturday you are more likely to get kids along so potential for bigger crowd depending on what other local attractions are on at same time, but for the top league that's a no go due to all the international meetings.

So for PL fixed nights on Monday/Thursday to avoid other leagues is the way to go. Much prefer that to guests and r/r. Supporters will get used to it.

You cant honestly think thats a good idea......or is it simply that because you will drop down you dont really care

Poole stay in the top league at home on a Wednesday to a Kings Lynn side with Iversen and Palm Toft riding in their own country..............

Poole fans wont turn up..............Lynn fans wont travel...........financial suicide

If Poole go back to Wednesdays in the lower league it wont matter as possibly the opposition wont have many riders in the Danish league

Ah! but they'll win 60-30 and that's all that matters to some.

I won’t get into long discussions as I am with a group of friends in Italy and we’re about to go out to dinner. But what is most important is the home team fielding the same 1 to 7 every week. Less so the away team.

Poole won’t be in the top flight next season, more’s the shame. I am not looking forward to next season and believe the crowds at Poole will be considerably down because of it. A second string as a number one will not be a crowd puller.

All I have to say is aaarrrggghhhhh!!

You cannot compare the Poole '19 team to the Poole '20 one. They are a no1 in the Champ not second strings. You can only compare it to other teams in the Champ.
