Good luck George and thanks. Very true AF. Since Peter, George and I set up the new Diamonds in 1997, Peter, Me, Darryl, Alan and Dalbers have made considerable financial inputs into the club. Sorry to see George go, as his speedway knowledge and his connections will be missed. I hope he enjoys his retirement, but I wonder what the situation is now with him fronting the BSPA shared events, a post he has only just been appointed to. We'll see shortly I think. Interesting that there has always been an English in Newcastle Speedway since 1961 when both George Snr, Joan and myself were members of the new Supporter's Club. Since then the English's have either represented the Supporters Club or been a Promoter of the Diamonds. That's a long time for anybody. I wish Rob well with his revamped Diamonds, and look forward to it being a big success.

Good luck George and thanks. Don't think anyone thinks HE alone kept the club alive financially, but he's been the ever present and was possibly the person fighting to keep speedway alive when other investors came and gone, although I stand to be corrected on that, anyway its onwards and upwards from now on hopefully, has anyone got any suggestions for team manager next year, going off some of the posts on here over the years I think there's a few think they could do it better off the forum not naming anybody in particular mind Edited February 19, 2020 by andys

However you get nothing for a double... well not in Speedway anyway... Should a get me CV polished up Ruff because a still have a 100% win record from a triple winning team from 2018... Undefeated.... Not many can boast that now can they... Regards THJ 1

Furthermore I got a good hydraulicing off Jacko for spoiling them... the riders that is.... but I've never had a problem with man management or motivational speaking though to be fair... However what I will say is it's harder than you think it would be... and definitelty harder than it looks... it was pretty stressful that's for sure and any manager of a speedway team gets my respect... It might only be 15 one minute races but there is always something going on in between times... and that's on top of the riders moaning their puddings off... erniew
Now nearly ywo weeks since Rob said he would announce the main team sponsors in ten days, our team manager has resigned and no replacement announced and the new website is still not up and running. Slighttly worrying with the season opener 5 weeks away!

As always, you can't fault the new promotion for giving it their best (and delivering already, to some extent). However, you're pretty much spot on, it does look like someone a high school pupil would design for a project. I suppose we can only hope it improves as time goes on and further feedback is given. Yearbyred
Just had a quick look. The gallery section only has one set of pics at the moment which state they are from the KOC Final but are from the league meeting a month earlier (Josh Embleton, MPT riding). Small point but not the best start. I'm sure it will improve.
ruffdiamond
Its definitely new, and looks similar to the way some websites are heading. Sometimes it's about accepting change, am no techno geek, but found it ok to navigate by clicking on the box with the lines in.

Totally agree and in this digital age when most things are viewed or done online, this is your shop window and yes it may improve over time but at a glance, if you were window shopping you would say NEXT!!! I love what Rob is doing but this looks like they have rushed to get it done and not consulted anyone who knows about web design.
