To be fair the illegal immigrants went quietly to the Home Office van, it was a bunch of locals, not illegal immigrants that created the rammy :)

Not a word from Sturgeon regarding social distancing and it went on all day with the Police just standing there helpless.Sad Days.

My apologies thought I was on the follow follow forum.

But all kidding aside my point still stands keeping Glasgow in level 3 but allowing and supporting a mob protest the previous day is baffling.

hope your well not seen you on here for a while.

I’m well thanks Gaz. Looking forward to some live speedway in the not too distant hopefully.

True but scotgov hung Police Scotland out to dry ordering there release from Uk Border agency..

Mob rule in an alleged hotspot for the virus but not once did they condemn it then the very next day kept the city in level 3 , mind blowing is an understatement.

You don't know if any one of that mob was illegal, they wouldn't say if they were.

Do you see a difference between the mob rule you talk about on Thursday and the loyal gathering of staunch supporters today?

The difference you mention is today will be vilified by the SNP whilst in no particular order

Pro Palestine March last Saturday at George Square.

Immigration protest on Thursday in Pollok shields.

Pro independence March at George Square next Saturday.

All have been commended and praised by the SNP but are no different to today’s March.

There is no difference all should be vilified or commended not pick and choose , but I think we all know the reason ,at  today’s gathering there will be union jacks in attendance there’s your difference.

And as you mention Mob Rule people lying in front of Police Vans and Harassing Border Agency employees do you see the difference.

Haven't seen any of that behaviour today have you?.

True, but I hope your not suggesting that the home office are inefficient by only going for 2 when there were more in the area.

Not suggesting that but maybe that was all they had warrants for. I'll wager that there's more though

With that many people you will always get the minority of idiots same on Thursday or any large gatherings , You cant condone but it happens everywhere .

Point I made was they cant sanction certain gatherings and not others all or nothing.

I am also sure you will remember the Violence at a pro independence March last summer in Buchanan Street remember that one ?, And yes it was a minority of idiots that day also

Agree it's very quiet from the tiggers who would have thought after 18 months the 1st meeting is in a few days

The excitement had been quashed by having no fans in the stadium for an undetermined time. There is no substitute for visiting the track, and whilst streaming is appreciated as it gets us going again, its a distant second choice.

So 18 months or so ago Glasgow announced they had pulled out of league  racing as they couldn't afford to run with reduced numbers attending.  Now it appears that due to Scottish rules they can run behind closed doors?!

Presumably this is due to the Govt grant/cash handout (rather than a loan) ??

The behind closed doors is temporary, hopefully. By waiting another month or whenever the next batch of restrictions are finally lifted they wont need to spend unnecessary amounts of money on Covid mitigations in the stadium. Setting up the streaming service is a gamble but hopefully it pays off.

I'm sure the owners are pretty tired of the restrictions like everyone else.

Hope I'm wrong but I doubt there will be wholesale dropping of "Covid Mitigation's in the stadium" as you put it any time soon; I think there will still be restrictions and protocols to be adhered to right up until Christmas and maybe even beyond that; such as masks and spacing etc hopefully all less intrusive than the current regulations...

Your last line is spot on and I think as everyone is tired and fed up with the current situation; hopefully the streaming works for Glasgow and that all these "Stricter Measures" are temporary but I don't think we are out of the Covid woods by any stretch of the imagination yet...

Also if Buffoon Boris lifts certain restrictions Nippy Sturgeon will probably not follow suit just to be awkward...

Regards
