If it was my team tho, i'd be asking is he a a real motivator away from home where they will be behind more often than not ? And is he tactically aware enough and rulebook savvy enough to make the changes required at the right time, to not leave the team exposed at other points of the meeting etc.. Middlo has got a right touch here, cover the simple homes, and Havelock has got the aggro of the aways Genuine question, has he been successful on the road in his previous posts ? Good luck to him anyway. Sure, Gary will put his all into it. That’s what I want to see. Most people (not you doctor)seem to think Middlo is an average to awful manager in the U.K. so I guess it doesn’t matter anyway.
Ringitsneck
Interesting appointment. Havvy left the Bandits under a cloud with questions being asked about his knowledge of the rule book , amongst other things. He wasn't seen much at Redcar last season with rumours of a fall out, but time will tell if this is a master stroke or just a box ticking exercise. Let's hope it's the Havvy of old and we see that smile back again. Can't wait to hear his interview at Newcastle!

Re Middlo, i think he's probably just found what works, and he probably looks average because he doesn't seem to do much other than belly rubbing of the riders - but it's worked for him over the years, so probably not much need to change things especially at his age. Don't like him as a bloke, but that's for his social escapades - speedway wise, you cant argue with his record i guess.

allthegearbutnaeidea
Last I heard he was taking the Courtney’s to court over Berwick situation but that was a couple years ago, seemed to cause more trouble than he was worth in points. SteveLyric2
Havvy has Poole in his heart. He's often down Poole-way staying at Matt's or Middlo's. Can't wait for the fixtures now.

He will be fine Skidder i am not a fan of Poole's but Middlo and Havvy are two who do take stick on this forum but for me i like both.I only met Neil a couple of times to speak to in the eighties ( not at a meeting) and he was down to earth and a decent guy and Havvy will be fine. 1

Well said Sid. Im very sure that Neil and Havvy will talk, but we have experienced riders who all know the Niorthern tracks, so it wont be a problem. Havvy im sure will brush up on any rules that need looking at..

I saw plenty of Havvy during his spell at Coventry & concluded he wasn't cut out for the job , I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only person to think that either.
STEVEHOLS54
it's a bit depressing teams like Peterborough now seem to have 2 main team sponsors recently announced yet we still await news on who (or if) our one will be. I think most teams have sorted their main sponsors. Also on that subject, and please correct me if I m wrong, but I am sure i saw on the Poole website until recently that Medicare Systems Poole were one of the clubs major sponsors for some time. Looking at the site the last few days Medicare no longer have their logo running across the top like the others. Is this another decent sponsor we have lost similar to what happened with some others over the 2018/19 seasons. My apologies IF I am wrong. If they no longer sponsor that is another great company who have pulled support from the club.
