I'd be interested to know how many other options are there? I don't mind a NLD rider riding as at least it is a Brit getting more experience that they need. It may cost us a win but not if everyone else does there job. As long as Stevie sticks to his Poole form and not his BV one! ;)

Its a bit time-sensitive - both for the line-up on Wednesday but also for the cut-off for the August averages (23rd July!!!!) when Poole will lose the 5 point option!

However I gather there is much work going on behind the scenes involving British Embassys abroad etc etc.

British Embassy?? Surely it would be the Czech Embassy unless Smetana is a British citizen.

I'll keep my fingers crossed then!

Would that imply an Aussie with British ancestors?

That could well be Plan B, who would come in on a 4 point average.  Plan A - a Scandanavian - may have hit similar problems to Smetana?!

So we go with Kyle Bickley guesting on Wednesday and see where we are in relation to the August averages cut-off at the end of this week (23rd July!)

With both the DSL and the Allsvenskan riding on Wednesday's that may be a bit limiting ( although Pollestad, Sola and Fredriksen might offer some interesting Norwegian options)

I would say it will be another Aussie.

Either Keynon Rew or Fraser Bowes. Both are currently riding in the Polish leagues Rew is the better of the pair on current form but Bowes has the pedigree of his father Shane.

I understand that Leicester & Glasgow tried to get Fraser Bowes into UK racing recently but it wasn’t an option due to work permit limits
