SteveLyric2
There is also a rumour that the glass stand is being used as a 'Covid test centre until end June' - but I've not been down to see it and its not listed an any of the local test links!! KrisB
Danny Ford in today’s Daily Echo “I know there has been a lot of negativity around this, especially with what’s happened at Swindon (dropping out the league for 2021) and stuff. “We do appreciate that – we are going to keep our fans updated on the situation. People shouldn’t worry just yet.” Don’t like that last sentence? :-(

The full article gives a much more positive view on the current situation with commitment to all the away fixtures even if there is a delay in the first home meeting! All the team except Zane - who arrives Friday - are here and raring to go. More details later this week............ Think to be honest, Danny should know better, and not even mentioned the last sentence! as he knows better than anyone it can be taken out of context. As a Poole fan I am worried how the greyhound owners have treated Reading (still a car park for football) and Swindon and the fact there is a lot of 'parties' involved that reads not just council and stadia UK. Think if anything underhand does start to surface like back at the end of 1995, the council will have a massive back lash from locals & supporters! Technik
The first match will be a week late June 2. It's not so bad maybe the Stadium owners can get one more insurance payment if there is no racing in May

Technik
The fixture shown on the BSPL website has moved from 26/05 to 02/06. That's confirmed in my view
old bob at herne bay
We have been locked down since before Christmas. Government announced roadmap out of lockdown over 6 weeks ago. Still Poole speedway and their new landlords haven’t agreed how to reopen the stadium

They are the same Stadia UK that stopped the greyhounds permanently and laid off all the stadium staff.

old bob at herne bay
That’s a plausible explanation. At least gives some hope that the stadium will reopen this season for speedway. For a company whose main interest is in “the catering side” according to Dan Ford, hope the poole fans like their burgers.

Only ever buy a hot drink if I want one. More expensive. but better food at John Davis van on turn one.

He talks about 'dotting the 'i's' and crossing the 't's' on the final numbers allowed and the staffing within the stadium (bearing in mind Stadia UK laid off all their staff when they stopped the greyhounds!). Fully committed to all the away meetings as per fixture list - which is a huge financial commitment in itself - but may be a slight delay - one week - in starting the home meetings. The Plymouth home KOC meeting has already been put back from 26/5 to 2nd June on the BSPL fixture list. All the team are based in the UK (Zane Kelleher arriving today) and have few if any continental commitments to interfere with their UK meetings Can't wait..
