dog
Well done Robins. Total hiding tonight which reduced the entertainment but I don't care.
Col
Awful meeting entertainment wise, fair play to Jake Allen at least he made the Robins work. The rest of the Witches were utterly pathetic. The referee was less awful than every Witch. Congratulations Swindon
Ovalman
It may have been pretty boring if watching on tv but the atmosphere was probably the best ever at The Abbey on the packed terraces. Hi ho Swindon Robins!!! Rain before the start and p1ssing down now. Edited October 17, 2019 by auntie doris

marko
Another example of the play offs attracting big crowds but where were those fans earlier in the season? glory hunters? shame on them.
theblueboy
Unfortunately for Ipswich, Swindon have been building momentum over the last 6-8 weeks with several away wins and destroying teams at home. Its never nice to see a team beaten so comfortably in a final, ask Watford fans, but Ipswich were there on merit they just run into a hungry team head and shoulders above everyone else. From a Swindon perspective, a thoroughly enjoyable evening in front of a large crowd, between 3-3500 at a guess, and a league and cup double safely tucked away. Razza was the catalyst obviously but everyone that rode this season played their part not just the final 7 including Lampart, White Knight, Bellego, Nielsen and Shanes. Well done Swindon, deserved champions. Already looking forward to the Charity Shield between the league and cup winners.... Tigeratheart
Congratulations to Swindon worthy winners , commiserations to Ipswich , was pretty much one way traffic but you can only beat what's in front of you, Swindon we're favourites at the start of the league and strengthened mid season , all this talk of Ipswich not deserving their place in the final is utter bollocks!!! They earned their way to the final but fell short, there's no shame in that. Once again congratulations Swindon , also on a personal unbiased thought hope rasser is not to knackered after tonight , you have another final to contest and Claus, Mon the tigers !!!!

Pathetic, just less pathetic. Heeps & Sarjeant rode so much like NL novices it's difficult to tell.
Bald Bloke
Well done to the Robins... So strong at home and coming into form at the right time.. Also well done to Ippo. Many didn't give them a chance including me. They were in the final on merit. Quote
Sidney the robin
I have really enjoyed this season the racing at the abbey has been a massive improvement and i believe the track has the potential to get better and better. Bend two now really is a bend you can attack hairy at times and Doyley and Adam were really pushing themselves to the limit. You sometimes forget just how skillful these riders are and i predict a big year for Doyley in the series next year he is getting back to his best.Congratulations to Alun /Lee they are the future of the club and i am especially pleased for Alun his record is a record anyone would be proud of and after his shabby treatment in the England affair he put two fingers up to certain people last night.Ipswich still team of the season for me a great return to the top flight. FAST GATER
Well done Swindon worthy winners solid team from top to bottom Ipo just never at the party but I don't think any team would have beaten the Robin's on their recent form would just say good job there is no longer " rider control " in place . So releived the weather didn't ruin things Sid. The rainfall radar looked very ominous an hour before the start. For me, a monday night restage would have clashed with Kent v Leicester! When you miss the start give up after half a lap and just follow the leaders as they disappear in the distance. Another chanfe to make the gate will come along soon. Lawson & Heeps doing it to perfection - wait and hope that you fare better at the tapes next time around. King did at least have a go once or twice but his fighting spirit faded too easily. Sarjeant - a long way to go to become a speedway racer ( in the Premier League at least ) just not up to it.
frigbo
Not sure why there's so much surpruse that Lawson and Heeps were pants last night. Both have appalling records at Swindon.

Mulford was well in front, but going too fast considering the conditions. He looks a great prospect though. Joe Thompson was very impressive, with some brave outside overtakes. Totally ignoring the wet stuff out by the fence.

Kelvin and Nigel have been saying they have really enjoyed themselves with all the travelling the past few weeks. Maybe a hint but nothing seems clear. That we don’t know. Not sure what Cardiff has got to do with it- BT Sport have a contract to show the GP`s/SON in 2020 and 2021.
