Premiership Playoff Final 1st Leg - Ipswich v Swindon - 15/10

Recommended Posts

This certainly isn't the foregone conclusion some think, Ipswich are a good side, will the occasion get to them or inspire them, over 2 tightly contested meeting I'll go for a 95-85 agg to Swindon, but if Ipswich win they will have deserved it and be a new name on the Trophy which is always a good thing. Hope the weather is kind and we have a cracking final.

No one should ever say it’s a foregone conclusion. Both teams are there on merit and we saw on Wednesday what the weather can do to a meeting. Mrs Spud and I are coming over for both matches and looking forward to meeting up with friends and seeing some ( hopefully) good racing.

Now ...... can anyone sort out some sunshine please ?

I’ve never watched from the back straight, ( always been in or close to the pits.) I think that could be on the cards for Monday.

Swindon should have the class and quality to win this on aggregate. If we don’t it would be a massive choke (unless injuries play a part).

That does mean the Witches have zero pressure on them at all though, so can just ride freely and see what happens. They have a few battlers that can score anything between 2 or 12 from night to night, so it just depends on whether the stars align for them. The playoffs can bring the best out of riders like King and Harris, especially if the track is to their liking. Im expecting another heavy, grippy track on Monday, that they’ll love, and Swindon will need to be mentally prepared for.

If Ippo can get themselves an 8 point lead to take back to Blunsdon, it’ll be squeaky bum time for Swindon on Thursday. I’m kind of hoping that there is a bit of jeopardy for Thursday, as the match against Wolves had none of that play-off spark at all.

As I am Wolves fans I am now a neutral for the final. Against us it was a landside victory, but the weather allied to us being crap added to the result. I expect Swindon to win on aggregate but Ipswich will not be a pushover.  The first leg result is crucial, Ipswich have to get a lead. And Iversen has to match, or get close to Doyle's score.

Since you are so cock sure of your self,,,, if it's closer than 30,,,,,you come to Foxhall next season and do a lap of the track in ya underwear only.     How's about it? Come on back ya big gob up for once?

Why would you subject us to that?!!

Cos he is all trap and no trousers, so I thought no trousers would be apt.

Typical gob schnitzel Poole fan.

But...but....!

Come on, I know it's been a while since I have seen a bloke with no trousers on and it is unlikely to happen again in my lifetime but I really don't want to be scared (or scarred) off for life just in case!
