As mentioned more than once on the TV tonight, you have to admire the tenacity of Ellis Perks. Having followed his progress with both Leicester teams this year, I know him as one of those riders that rides hard for 4 laps in every race. 3 league titles in a single year is still very much on the cards. As I asked previously, would this be a first?

Learnt that at Rye House.

Happy with the win but again the weather spoiled it for everyone and any home advantage the Witches could of had was gone.Overall well done to the Witches for having a great season  really worked hard and brightened up the league with there team spirit. Swindon for the last few years have gone the top heavy route in team building and this paid off today with winning and Batchelor still only scoring four points. As others have mentioned Perks has been superb even the other night scoring only a point or two battling for every lap he has made great strides in his career this year i hope he is a robin in 2020.

The track prep has been mentioned many times,,,, it's pretty clear how it is most of the time, they need to change the riders accordingly

Yep fair point, there’s wasn’t really anything wrong with the track prep last night, it was lovely and smooth and consistent, just doesn’t suit our boys like that!

need a largely different team next year if that’s the way moving forward.

A few good fights, good runs from the back, surprising heat wins, whatever, could make for good television even if Swindon have a hand (and a half) on the trophy.

There was very, very little of that in the first leg - racing I mean. UK league racing on TV shows itself up as exactly what it is ( regardless of what is at stake ) all over in the first 15 seconds of almsot every race. It is never going to play a part in rebuilding speedway as a well supported sport on the terraces. More likely to be a turn off from finding out where you local track is!

That's what you get at Ipswich. Sometimes it's slightly better, but most of the time it's like that.  Until bikes are changed, that's what we gonna get

Good racing at Blunsdon? :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Hasn't happened at any televised meeting for 15 years at least.

That Ipswich team will struggle to get to 30.

We have had some great racing this season at the Abbey......Unfortunately when it's came to TV meeting's the opposition teams haven't been good enough to compete with us....I can't think who we last turned over on TV, can you?

The expected result last night as ive said all along Swindon are far ahead of any other side.

At least we made it to the final .......imagine Poole getting there and it being the most one sided match for a play off final ever...........

The pathetic ramblings of Shovlar are a joy to behold............never seen such a bitter and trolling poster on here in my life.......this is the man that said Swindon were to top heavy lol.........you can write what he knows about speedway on the back of a stamp

The final should be over now but lets hope we can keep the score respectable............

What a great manager Rosco is.....maybe the Poole bosses need to look at him and try and get him.

What a great season we have had though ...........beating and humiliating the title favourites in the semi final the boys can be proud............

Hope Poole drop down and we can convince Klindt and Josh to come to us

Ipswich “old fogey” Witches. Men against boys. Trouble is the boys wanted it more.

But the Ipswich old fogeys......smashed your boys......

Always was going to be. I think we would have put up a better fight but would have still be comfortably beaten over 2 legs. Swindon too strong this year. We can take comfort knowing we pipped them to finishing top, not that it really meant anything.

Poole and fight in the same sentence lol...............capitulated like a cheap deck of cards against us..........with a manager like a rabbit n the headlights

It did mean something - you got to pick your opponents!  How did that go for you?

Lol they expected to walk all over us but their side had no fight or bottle

Good to see the best 2 teams in the final and unlike last year no farce just two 1-7's and the best side will win

I thought the ref got both decisions right last night and although we gave Doyley some stick he gave it back and didnt cheat like Kurtz

Well done to your boys...........i said early on that Swindon were one signing and one reserve away from being the best side............Jensen and Perks have shown that to be true

How have you just managed to make nearly all that about Poole and a supporter lol.

Time to let it go now.

Your team were worse than pathetic last night. No fight, no aggression. Rolled over and croaked. A shameful effort. Swindon are a better team but the way Ipswich rode was weak and useless.  Worst final ever for the neutral? Absolutely!

Gavan trying to deflect from his teams embarrassing showing by attacking me Lol! :icon_smile_clown:

Perks beating Harris from the back sums it up perfectly. Fire and guts from an inferior rider.

It’s called wanting to win. The Swindon team want it. The Ipswich team seem happy to just make the final. Outclassed, outgunned, out though and this is all over already.

You do talk out of your arse................we want it but we arent good enough.Swindon head and shoulders above anyone............just glad its not Poole in the final.....the team of bottlers

Cannot see this being the witches year. Unlike Swindon who see up for it Ipswich by comparison are along for the ride but that is it. No fire in their belly and sadly the underdogs tag is spot on. If they get a home win they will at least save some face but without a good kick up the backside this team will let the town and County down.

You sir are a prat

No we werent pathetic we were beaten by a better side.............big difference

Croaking is what you boys did in the semi final.....

Because of the weather the track favoured the away side....................come on you know all about that you used it as an excuse enough times.

I said back in June Swindon would win the league................you laughed and said they had a weak tail

First season back and a final ..........when everyone expected us to finish bottom....................can we have Klindt and Josh when you drop down please?

Swindon ended the season as the complete team.  The engine room at 3&4 were the real destroyers.  Batch has an off night but Ellis steps up.  Even at Reserve Perks takes points off of Harris (where does he go from here ?).

Ippo the best of the rest but the rest were a long way behind this Swindon team.

Spot on

No team would live with Swindon over 2 legs

Ipswich clearly the best of the rest and proud of our boys making the final
