Now that could have been a fluke, but it would have quite a thing to have fluked it for the whole season. He didn't cover himself with glory last season, but I don't know how much effect the injury had on him. On his average I think he is worth another go. As far as Becker goes I am 100% sure he will be in the team, note the earlier comment about Ermolenko and Correy). So we have sorted the second strings (Morris & Becker) and the reserves (Douglas and Nicol). Just the heat leaders to go. My recollections, which may be faulty of course, is that for every 1 'we must have him on that average' riders who are a success, half a dozen prove why they had the 'bargain' average. I'm sure you're right about Becker but I've never understood why someone would purchase a season ticket before you knew what you were buying. In the case of Becker his signature would surely be more important to that decision than Schlein, Douglas, Nicol and Morris so to not have him done and dusted before 'season ticket saturday' seems remiss to me Edited November 29, 2019 by Wolfsbane
Speedwayfan1990
Got to be bringing in an out and out number 1 surely now? Assuming Becker signs if the last 2 riders are Masters & Thorsell it will be a massive anti climax. Don't think they would go that far under the points limit but stranger things have happened

That suggests a trend. Nevertheless, if Masters and Thorssell are to follow, who is the new 7.5 point rider? Klindt?

Wouldn’t that be two points under the limit?
DJWolves
No question that if Nick rides to his ability he is on a bargain average but need to see more fire in his belly than we saw last season. The amount of points we have to play with for the remaining riders surely means a top number one is on the way. Tai or Freddie would be the ideal ones for me

Really think it’s going to come together quite nicely. Really? Berge was 4.92 at Redcar when he signed for BV in August 2018 but he came in on a 4. The converted average would have been under 4. Wells finished this season at Poole on 3.66 but the BSPA has changed it to 4. Nicol should be 4.

So who’s coming in? Or have Wolves just blundered by signing Nicol instead of Nichols? Maybe CVS misheard Pete Adams?

The more I think about it the more I think the new number 1 will be Iversen. Wouldn't be overly disappointed with that. Would love Freddie though, would bring a few more through the gate every week

Phil The Ace
I'm very intrigued with what wolves plan is. I can see another returnee, and that's only good for the sport

I think we can safely rule out Pawlicki. As to Iversen, why would he ride for us as opposed to Kings Lynn ? As for Thorssel and Masters there appears to a possibility that 1 of them won't be back.
