Nope. See Peterborough thread. I don't think he will be as good as people think. 8 year hiatus, Multiple big injuries, No longer in his prime. Reputation doesn't mean anything in any sport.

Also contemplated retirement after one of those serious big injuries.

Spot on,,,, great to have him here,,, but he won't be all that.

Makes no difference in the big scheme of things Pedersen signing in the UK is a massive coup and only strengthens that genuine list to 3, 4 if you add in Kildemand.

On the commercial side of things it's the biggest signing no doubt about it. But that doesn't count for anything on the track.

On the track I think Nicki will have his work cut out to end 2020 with an average over 8.00. Nicki P is much like Chris Holder. With every passing year his standard is dropping. Injuries are to play a big part in that.

Nicki P is a man who carries a big reputation but if you are to judge him on the here and now the picture tells a whole different story.

Sheffield have signed a Speedway legend with a big reputation but they have also signed a man that's well past his best day's.

The Nicki P they have signed isn't the same man putting in a strong world championship challenge.

The Nicki P they have signed is a man who is no longer in his prime, a man who has contemplated retirement, a man who has Lost his GP place, a man who has had numerous big injury problems over the last few years and a man who has sat out British Speedway for 8 years.

Yet has continued to be at the higher end of the averages in Poland despite that decline.

I cant believe I’m defending a rider I detest.

I am a frequent visitor to Lynn. Will I plan to go when Sheffield are there? You bet.

Will also try and see Nicki in full flight at Owlerton.

Jason Doyle is now probably the better rider but when it comes to bob office, Nicki wins hands down.

Ahh but will you come to Foxhall??

Lots of variables there but I agree.

I expect all those named above will improve their averages

The biggest variable for me is PK. If he gets back to anything like his old self we have pulled a cracker and I think we will be the strongest team in the league.

If he doesn't then that's another story.

Agree Kildermand,s form will make or break the team.If he is poor we all live in hope that Bjerre,s average fits and wants to return to the club when he is ready to return to the British league.

Speedway is a business. Nicki will bring people through the turnstiles home and away.

He's controversial, makes waves, makes stories.

And, he's damn nice bloke, who I would have round for tea any day you like.

He doesn't seem a nice bloke on the track! Also i imagine there are many riders who wouldn't ask him round for tea!

I don't see it as defending the rider you detest, more pointing out what a ridiculous post you are replying to.

I don't disagree with you about the on track.

He is ferocious when racing but I found when he was at Eastbourne that Nicki was a perfect gentleman once racing stopped.

I  spoke to him once at Swindon and he autographed  both my lads books and was a really nice bloke. He was rushing off to another meeting as well  but the funny thing was i know they had there little skirmish but Greg Hancock was exactly the same a really nice guy time to speak and had real time for the supporters.

I can believe it.

You would defend Nicola Sturgeon when taking part in a debate with me.

She would make more sense yes I agree.

You would expect Greg to be like that, Greg is a gentleman and like most riders always has time for the fans but I doubt he has much time for Nicki!!
