Only in speedway this could happen -one other question has Robin Brundle left the club or has that been quietly brushed under the carpet ? Who’d forget the war cry chant he bought to the club ha ha Edited April 2, 2021 by Haza
Bagpuss
Can’t see that it really matters if he’s working for both to be honest, maybe it’s just me. Quite likely there is little geographical overlap anyway. More concerned about actually getting on track with spectators, should be a given with such low numbers of cases and deaths being declared now but with the way it’s all been handled who knows

Yes the sport needs to get out on track and fans in stadiums 100% but I’d thought as a sport we’d need to try and retain a little bit of credibility and Richard Knight working for two rival clubs in the same role doesn’t sit well with me as someone else said conflict of interest. But as you say riders on track fans in stadiums is main thing - hopefully other things can be ironed out before March 2022 .
bruno
If riders can ride for 2 teams and guest for every team can't see the difference back room staff working for 2 teams. Just highlights the farce of the sports rules
semion
Was the guy Kilby doing the commercial job at two Clubs in 2019? Surely with two clubs you are after different sponsors etc as they are different catchment area’s. So Robin Brundle. What’s the story there. Gone or involved ? Guess I’d hoped after a year of practically no speedway in the UK we’d have the great British speedway re set button pressed and get a bit more credibility back in the sport .

I am sure there will be some crossover of contacts that will benefit both clubs at certain parts of the season..
stevehone
lots of benefits here .. Richard has been around speedway bikes long enough to help if needed elsewhere too i expect
Trees
The main thing for me is he manages to help both clubs, we know speedway is in a precarious position in the UK, clubs need all the help they can get. Rob Lyon and Peter Schroek will make sure the teams are fired up to win against each other and every other team, the stuff that goes on behind the scenes is just that "behind the scenes". Don't get me wrong I totally and utterly appreciate Knighty for his work to help the clubs but on race day it's our riders, our team manager and us!!!!

I remember when King's Lynn had the man to sort out all their commercial requirements & transform U.K. speedway Jonathan Chapman where would Speedway G.B. be now if he'd been given a free reign? P.S. Good luck Richard "spike" Knight.

Correct Trees, people on the inside hated his aggressive nature to implement change quickly. Look at the state the sport here is in now?? British Speedway won't find anyone like him again
