Definitely for me, I won't be going much ( as last season ) unless when I do chance an early season visit the quality of the racing is much improved. Just too boring otherwise!

Maybe there is some truth in naming your side gradually that they get more exposure to the media etc.

I'm glad cook and Lambert are in. And riss. The rest all have a point to prove and that's never a bad thing. They should have announced it at a gathering told some anecdotes. Got all the current fans buzzing. Drip feeding it isn't really looking after the current fans. This sport won't be packed with fans ever again so look after the ones that are there. Give us a night out with names being announced. It's personable. Reading it on news sights doesn't really do that for me. But that's just my opinion on it. Probably it would have been better had they opened the bar on a week night for the supporters to come and chat, then occasionally announced certain riders would drop in to meet the punters, that way Lewis Kerr and some of the others could have popped in the promote the team instead of us always paying for the privilege. Danny Connor
Wasn't much publicity for this. Im a bit behind with my speedway star but didn't realise it was on. Else I would have gone.

waytogo28
It sounds as if this is something like " throwing the baby out with the bathwater" in terms of depnding solely on social media ( becasue it's cool and "everyone" is connected - Hmmm ). If you then forget about the club website or the paper press - or decide they are no longer useful, this is what happens.
Bagpuss
You might be right about the newspapers in this instance (I haven’t bought one for years) but in terms of the website there were features on there about the Lewi Kerr evening on Dec 27th and Jan 6th. Not sure if anyone has yet but it would be interesting to hear from somebody who went about how many people were actually there rather than judging from a couple of photos.
