That 2018 season i thought NKI was a bit of a let down to be honest. He was an out and out number one and he lost 1.66 from his starting average. Although he was recovering from injury and has a massive dislike of grippy tracks, Niels always came to the party when it mattered. When the meeting was coming to those deciding heats, the invertible pairing of Robert and Niels done the business especially on those away tracks... Watching NKI for 6 yrs at Lynn, I cant think of many who would say he let us down.... There's been a massive void in the team since he has left…. 8 hours ago, Bagpuss said: Mad for attitude and effort, I’ve always wondered how anyone can know how many per cent a rider is putting in unless he is quite obviously trailing at the back. Riders can be low in confidence aboard a speedway bike and look as though they don’t care when in actual fact they are trying their hardest. I’d be interested to know who you think was lacking in attitude and effort last season. It would be so easy to say a rider or some rider, but the feelings I have comes from watching speedway for years and having expectations of what is acceptable and what isn't. I notice effort when our riders have missed the gate, and I also notice those who just accept it, riding round to get those easy points.... It annoys me greatly when I see away riders climbing all over the backs of our riders try to get by and we doing nothing to offset them challenges. It is my belief each team of riders should be challenging for every point in every race, but unfortunately that's the exception rather than the rule.... So no, its not a specific rider, more about the normality of our speedway....
Bagpuss
I thought Cook filled the Puk void quite well last season while recognising he had one or two dodgy meetings and that he can probably improve in 2020 with more meetings at Lynn.
Rickyb
MPT back at Peterborough, we should have kept him here

And a main reason , for me at least, why my £s are no longer VFM. "That wait and see if I make a better start next time" from too many riders .
Bagpuss
The Lynn surface doesn’t help either, no point busting a gut if it’s going to make no difference.

Couldn't agree more regarding Cook, if only he could get his head sorted, on his day so very quick & smooth. Must remember his speedway carer is relatively short. He would be my first choice to get in Lynn line up 2020. Stick my head on the chopping block here, if you get him, will end up at No1 end of season. Why, far more dedication than Lambert
Bagpuss
Dedication to what? King’s Lynn? British speedway? Speedway in general? I think it’s good to have two very good riders pushing each other to be number one, should give them both extra incentive.
Greg
I think Mikkel Bech will be in our team somwhere .

Lamber regressed last season but is a much better rider than Craig I expect he will prove as much this season.

It gets better all the time. I once thought Cookie was going all the way to the top level. like you say he was quick and smooth. But not anymore. ! questioned why he left BV. I cant imagine a team would get rid of a prized asset. I want a rider who you can guarantee to get double figures every meeting and unfortunate Cookie comes up short. 2018, Robert reached them dizzy heights, and I thought he had arrived on the world stage. 2019 Robert wasn't the same he became a shadow of the rider he was. he appeared to have taken 2 steps backwards and consequently the team suffered. For Lynn to hold their own we need 2 top riders. Riders capable of winning heats 13 and 15. Failing that, then it becomes a waste of time...…. Royal Box
Yes the good old days when every heat was a classic and Stars trophy cabinet needed extending every year.
Kickitov
Just throwing one out there, probably well off the mark but...... R.Lambert 7.61 E.Riss 6.61 M.Bech 6.26 C.Harris 6.16 T.Jorgensen 5.90 L.Kerr 5.43 T.Proctor 4.43 Total : 42.

But having said that, both reserves should score very well. With a bit of improvement from TJ and Erik on their travels, Robert getting some of his 2018 form back, and if Bech could average 7, all of which could happen, that team could do ok. Deffo would shake it up a bit..

kelvinht
Wouldn't surprise me if Harris ended up being in the team, He couldn't get to grips with Foxhole and has got to be better than his current average. On his day he can put in a decent top rider score and win crucial heats
