If he is a rising star why does his average have the +5% that is used when booking a guest at home? The rules say rising stars can only be replaced by another rising star so this calculation isn’t applicable.

I am sure that Andres Rowe is on the rising star list , but Ipswich put him into the main body of the team so didn’t use him as their rising star option.

Does that mean at that point he ceased to be a rising star and was just treated as a regular 1-6 team member ?

It is. If Rowe is missing and a guest is brought in to replace him, he is replaced according to his average and the +5% applies at home.

Correct, and he can guest for another 4* Rising Star regardless of his own average.

Just now, NeilWatson said:

No, Anders Rowe remains a Rising Star rider, but he isn’t nominated as an RS rider in Ipswich’s 1-7

That makes sense now. Anders is both a rising star and a 1-6 team member with and average.
Many thanks for clearing it up, I knew you’d know.

So as Anders Rowe can guest for a rising star and anyone from 1-6 if his average fits.Could then any rising star who don't have an average guest for any 1-6 rider ie say Brennan for Wells.

To be honest that’s how I read things. Rowe IS on the Rising Star list so can guest for another RS?

He is declared in main team by Ipswich so can have a true average.

It's not hard to grasp is it,,, he is on the Rising Star list at the start of the season,, and still on it,,, ipswich don't use him as a rising star,, as only one rising star per team this season in the Prem,,, Kemp is ipswich rising star. So Rowe gets an average, but because he is on the list still,, he can guest for other 4 rising stars.

Could you answer the above question Neil,or hasn't that scenario been thought of.

I don't believe that is possible, precisely because the RS riders don't have a Green Sheet average.

If another 'Woffy' came along and rode in the main body of the team, but was still an RS (like Anders Rowe), and ran say a 7 point average as he was so good...

Could he then guest as a replacement for a 4* rider?

Presume so given it appears your average 'doesn't matter' as was shown when Rowe recently guested for Bates..

Which begs the question why the Isle of Wight left the league after going through this democratic process. Odd.

Does anyone know why Kemp doesn’t have an average?

In this years case there was no democratic process, the rules, changes and new entrants were impossed upon us and we were not guaranteed that it would return to normal in 2022 - ie by way of a democratic vote. This is why we left. Had there been a democratic vote or even a promise to allow a democratic vote for 2022 we would still be in the BSPL. We could not allow ourselves to be dictated to, put on something we struggled to support, at our cost, our risk, our reputation, to develop riders we are not allowed to sign... totally for the benefit of higher leagues....
