Link to  Podcast by Ian Jordan is now on the Eastbourne website.  I've just had a listen and well done to Ian Jordan really interesting and informative to listen to.  Eastbourne are really trying to bring their Speedway club to the notice of more prospective fans and also to keep regular fans of the Eagles and speedway in general informed about the latest news etc of Eastbourne.  Other clubs should take note and try to follow Eastbournes excellent example.

Well done on the Podcast.  Really good to hear the plans and initiatives for the new season.  Really hope that the 90th celebration comes off (with a big hint that Nicki will be asked back, and I hope Crumpy might make an appearance too if it happens).  I guess if there is a big break mid-season as there was last year, this might be a good time to put something like this on?!!

Looking forward to getting back to it, and to seeing some close, competitive racing.

Excellent from Eastbourne too, like Redcar very informative and well done.

These 2 pieces are a guide to Promotion of the Sport that all the rest should be following-:

Redcar -: http://www.redcar-speedway.com/2020/03/17/redcar-speedway-statement/

Eastbourne -:  https://www.eastbourne-speedway.com/eagles-qa-with-ian-jordan-2/

From Brummies and too many others sadly http://www.birmingham-speedway.com/ very little!

The media folk at Eastbourne are keeping busy with stuff for us to read and watch while speedway is in limbo.

Saturday night will still be speedway night via Eagles TV, looks like they are playing a Question of Sport on social media (Eastbourne speedway style) and they have a new Q and A update on the website with Ian Jordan.

Champion stuff guys and gals but then we all know the Eagles are a champion team. Thanks to the people who are working on this.

Good idea to keep the interest going while we wait.

Well done Eastbourne, love Question of Sport, don't know hardly any of the answers without cheating due to brain getting old plus only been an Eagle fan for a couple of years but I love reading Eagles website.

After last Saturday's I was really really looking forward to tonight's streaming of a meeting but then saw it will be the 2019 home nail biter against Leicester with the last heat decider. Anyone who wasn't there that night will really enjoy it, for those of us who were there - can you really bear to watch it again, don't know if I can, I'm still speechless over the score  (trying hard here not to give anything away to anyone who doesn't know what happened).  All I can say is watch it if you can !  Keep up the good work Eastbourne/Ian Jordan, we'll be back as fans and can't wait for the day. Stay safe everyone.

A really thoughtful and informative statement from Eastbourne Speedway directors this morning, published on the club website.

It really keeps fans in the picture and ends with some great ideas being planned for when we go racing again.

Love the idea of a track walk for all fans - I've been going to Arlington for umpteen years but have never set foot on the hallowed shale.

It is well worth a read, even if you are not an Eastbourne fan.

Also on the Speedwaygb website.  Good to see other clubs than Poole keeping the publicity going! ;)

Eastbourne through Eagles TV have a double header this weekend. Double the speedway on Saturday night.

See the website where you find Eagles TV if you are pining for your speedway fix.

Saturday would, of course, been the first home match of the Eagles' season.

not on facebook or twitter so can't join in but great idea again . i've just watched 2019 wittstock vs diedenbergen on you tube with nicki pedersen on one side and the spiller bros on the other so plenty of eastbourne interest there.

Pleased to say access to the Eastbourne matches is through the club website. Doesn't need Facebook or Twitter.

Here is the link for you.

Matches still there - you can have a feast of speedway now.

Enjoy ....and, like you, looking forward to getting back to seeing the real thing at Arlington.

thank you .

Eastbourne Speedway is carrying out a survey of supporters to gain information about how they would feel about going to Arlington to watch speedway, when the government gives the OK for events to be held.

This move by the Eagles is so right.

Firstly, it is wise to always put your customers uppermost in your thoughts and actions.

You only know what the customer want by talking to them and listening.

After all, the Customer is King.

Secondly, a policy of openness and transparency is always for the best because it builds trust.

Eastbourne Speedway fans have trust and this survey is so important for charting a way forward.

Well done again, Eagles. This is business management out of the top drawer.

You are right about the Customer is King, BUT the fans aren't the only customers!!

All clubs have contractual arrangements with various different customers including sponsors, advertisers, suppliers, landlords etc.  It will depend on each club's financial balance sheet as to where they derive their maximum income from and therefore whose feedback might have the strongest opinion?!

I do agree with your thoughts but this is my personal experience with the Eastbourne management.

I advertise in a very small way with the club but they know I sponsor a rider with far more money and I'm a fan first and foremost.

They treat me and keep me informed really well, they are so appreciative of the small amount I give them but are just as appreciative of the support I give to one of their riders as they understand that benefits their business too.

They will treatl fans, sponsors, helpers and anybody else with equal respect.

Busy couple of days for Eastbourne fans.

Floppy Norris is the ultimate Eagle, as voted for by us, the supporters. I was surprised at that.

Affiliates launched. What's that?

Simple concept - use the link on the Eastbourne website to visit the selected retailer and then make your purchase as usual.

The craic is that by using the link from Eastbourne site, the Eagles get some money,

Easy to do and helps us.

Merchandise is for 2020/21 -- great move in the current climate. Some nice stuff too.

Some retro lines for those inclined that way.

All we need now is speedway racing at Arlington. Keeping fingers well and truly crossed.

I voted for Floppy, may not have been the 'best' rider ever to ride for Eastie, but was the all time leading points scorer and I can't remember any rider who gave more to the club in every aspect including his humour. He rode on many occasions when he really shouldn't have, long term concussion and dreadful burns to his arm are 2 that come to mind , but never wanting to quit or let the club down, to the detriment to his own health. Don't see many of his like now, be nice to see him at the club when we eventually go back.

Have you sampled Barry Bishop’s new initiative called Virtual Skid?

If not, then this Thursday at 6 pm either via the VS Facebook page or via YouTube, the Isle of Wight Warriors take on the Eagles in a 15 heat meeting where the action is taken from the many meetings between the sides at the Smallbrook Stadium. Eagles have a strong record of good results on the Island so a virtual away win looks very likely.

The initiative got a good report in a recent Speedway Star, Barry explains the format at the outset so why not give it a go. The first couple of VS meetings have ended up with last heat deciders and the whole thing last just over an hour.
