Checking the Speedway Star and it has averages listed as :

Lawson 9.63

Lewi Kerr 8.67

Tom Brennan 7.00

Drew Kemp 6.67

Kyle Newman 6.67

Edward Kennett 5.60

Jason Edwards 4.94

Poole are making changes with Zane Keleher heading around the South Coast to Plymouth to take advantage of his higher average.

Could Kennett ride at reserve or is that not possible with new reserve system. Did read that only 7 riders in Premiership are not doubling up ; so for any club considering changes due to injury or loss of form there is not a great deal of option.

Whilst Kennet is averaging 5.60 this season his rolling average is 7.96 making him the second highest in the team.

The averages quoted in the SS are 2021 averages only

The old rolling average conundrum. Hopefully a run of fixtures will help him find some form.

A. Have you got your ticket? No on-the-day cash/card admission

B. Eastbourne have their own weather forecast expert who says it looks that things will be OK.

C. If I was you, I would get a few hours south on Saturday and check again; ie: don't get to Brighton before looking. Have a stop at around 10am and see what the news is.

Thank you , yes we all have tickets , just don’t want to start a long journey and then it gets cancelled, I know it is part and parcel of being a speedway supporter!!!!

No rain today, which will have helped dry the track.

Forecast looks encouraging - I use Metcheck.

It is looking good now for Sunday, what part of the stadium have you booked @Tigeratheart ?

With lack of action here in Poole, two of us will be coming along for this meeting. Not been here since the Eagles dropped down, to NL or Championship.

What time do they open the car park? Been before , but arrived early and gates were locked.

The averages in the Speedway Star are meaningless, except as a guide to current form. The 'Green Sheet' averages that can be found at http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk under the relevant League tab are the averages used to dictate team changes and positioning.

Currently Eastbourne's averages are (with effect from 1st July):

Lawson 8.77

Kennett 7.96

Kerr 7.57

Brennan 5.92

Newman 5.41

Kemp 3.58

Edwards 2* RS (no attained average)

Team total 39.21

Zane Keleher moves to Plymouth on the same 4.00 average that he holds at  Poole.

If Edward Kennett's average fell to a figure that placed him sixth or seventh in the averages then he would ride at reserve.

I think he'll get some confidence now out of the No1 position, and hold his own and thrive in the middle order, but if his average dropped low enough to go to reserve he should be ashamed and probably ought to call it a day.

He has been out of form but the change in rider order has worked wonders, 8 from 4 is a good return away so the pressure of being an out of form number 1 has gone.

Eastbourne are very unlikely to replace Ed

Nathan Ablitt replaces Jason Edwards in the Eastbourne line up

Not surprised as Edwards is clearly talented but confidence is down and lay off has done him no favours. I am shocked to see no more double headers as they appeared to offer great value but the stadium owners bang the drum. Bit odd that it includes the MSDL matches also as thats just a 2nd half of sorts. Ironic really that it was and Eastbourne rider and a Dugard who did all the falling in the last match which caused it to run on so long.

Yes its a shame about the double headers..

Its a good move to take Jason out of the firing line and put Ablitt in for a bit, both have talent but Ablitt looks to have more confidence at the moment
