RockingRobin
What a complete and utter farce Speedway is ! Weather rains off tonight's meeting at Monmore, so Swindon straight away lose the second leg home advantage that they have worked for all season ! Absolutely ludicrous, and typical of the amateurish way the sport is run in this country, no wonder the papers and television don't take it seriously !
cityrebel
That's the problem you get when riders are attached to multiple teams.

With respect, what are promotors meant to do about the weather ?

Do what the Poles do who had their season and finals done and dusted by 3rd/4th week of Sept. The UK drags on for too long and the weather spoils it not for the first time. RobMcCaffery
The Poles only stage 7 home league meetings. Do you really want that?

If those 7 meetings were packed with the top riders in the world, organised professionally and sponsored to the hilt by major national companies making it a product to be proud of, I suspect, for some, the answer would be a resounding yes.
Steve Shovlar
If Swindon are good enough, they will see off Wolves. What is there to worry about? There’s 30 heats for Swindon to win it. Poole finished top and took the first leg against Ipswich. On second thoughts.......Swindon are doomed! Meetings get rained off when it rains - this can be in any of the months of the official season - sometimes Sept/Oct is much drier than April/May, or indeed any of the months. Poland can do what's best for them, I like our longer season.

Just as Poole were doomed on Saturday, despite trying to pull a fast one again by saying Holder was unfit (0 from 2 rides) thus enabling Klindt (on form) to take the injury R/R ride. Fortunately this time it was to no avail !!!
