When coventry closed down Ged apparently bought some of their assets on the cheap but never actually said who apart from Nicholls. I guess those are now owned by Buster

You guess wrong, the deal never went through.

Can they recover from bumps and bruises may be the bigger question.

It does have a dad army feel to it for sure and there's a few risks in there but it's better than what we started with last season

Yes that’s another concern with Andersen especially. All well and good saying his average is low because of injury, but when you get to that age these injuries take their toll on the body more than the younger lads. As I say I wouldn’t write them off as a play off team, I’m just unsure as to what this team is capable of. I’m not as convinced as others seem to be that a few are on bargain averages for various reasons and there’s good improvement in them. We’ll see

I think everyone’s unsure what they are capable of but the general consensus is it’s not bad and as someone said it’s a lot better than last year.

There’s a few teams who have question marks, ours at Ipswich is another. Will Crump hold his own and average 7+, or will it prove a disaster and he struggles around the 5 point mark. None of us are sure.

Very much looking forward to the 26th at the Showground, might have a better idea of both teams then. Just nice to have the season upon us again and have some racing to watch.

I might be wrong but I can't see where the excitement of watching this team will come from. Can't see any of them putting themselves at risk to make a risky pass. All cracking riders in there day but them days have gone. On the other hand it's possible they could all up there averages. Interesting season ahead

Would guess money comes into it . Surprised panthers haven’t got uk gold as main sponsors they broadcast  repeat after repeat. But I guess you could could argue that some of the old ones are the best

Dad's Army does get a lot of airtime recently. Is Johnson going to be on BBC Radio Cambs at some point now that the team is complete? I understand that they are trying to get in touch with him, or perhaps his invisible other half (in club official terms) could do it and cover both topics of interest just in case CJ is getting unfair flak for the Blue Badge debacle?

Totally agree I don’t get this type of team at all. Totally uninspiring filled with riders who are way past their best and falling. I’d much prefer to have a young up and coming rider in my team like Anders Rowe or Drew Kemp. Peterborough’s reserves will average more than both of those and for some that’s all that matters, but I’d personally prefer a young local lad making his way up the ladder than one who is looking to top up his pension fund for one more year.

Peterborough customers have never turned up great numbers for a trier in a losing team. They only turn up for a team getting results and this at least has the chance of doing that. It is yesterday's team but British Speedway is yesterday's sport and it being important and attracting the world's best is yesterday's news.

This.

If this team doesn’t finish top four I’ll be very surprised. Looks like it will be very strong at home.

Hang around for the 2nd half and the saviour of speedway, the prem jnr league may just deliver that. There must be a whole host of eager local juniors ready to take to the track (because Louis said so)

Reminds me of the Rye House team a few years ago - and that didn’t end too well.  On paper looks good with room for improvement but these riders have lower averages for a reason.  Having said that I thought The Ipswich team were gash at the start of last year and we all know how that ended
