BOBBATH
A couple of weeks ago I asked for and received (thanx Gustix) heat details of the WCQR at West Ham in August 1949-this was Reg Fearman's first WC meeting (70 years ago)!! His last ever WC meeting was at Cradley Heath on June 11th 1960-Reg clearly recalls the date as his son was born that day! Can anyone give me (or a link) to the heat details of that meeting (59 years ago!!) It would be tremendously appreciated and jog Reg's memory-who is still in fighting form by the way!! Thanx in advance.

It is John, and you have obviously missed a lot of the nonsense that has gone on here. He has little interest in the modern sport (preferring short-track car racing), and hasn't been to speedway in fourteen years. Mainly I just SHARE the great photos that appear via NEWSFEED! Edited September 28, 2019 by Guest

For reasons best known to yourself you make great play of my visits to WHS in Beckenham and Bromley to query availability of the Tai Woffinden book. In reality I doubt that each lasted more then two minutes. Edited September 28, 2019 by Guest spelling error
BOBBATH
I don't know what goes on over in UK with various forumlanders, and have never met any of you personally, I can only take people as I find them so thanx again Gustix (John). Btw why don't we all use our actual names when posting-I will show the way and make an example, thus from now on I will post under my real name- Elvis Presley!! In the time before the welcome arrival of Facebook for some reason that is obscure to me it was 'fashionable' for forum members not to reveal their identity. Hence the proliferation of member names like speedyguy, gusts and more! I agree it would be nice if BSF members/posters were identified by their real names. I am not sure but I think BSF members can change their user names but possibly it would mean reverting to their original registration to do this. Even allowing for the fact that you are unaware of my fame in sporting circles (and there have been enough references to it on the BSF), why would you only have a "vague idea" that my name is Steve? Until recently, I signed EVERY one of my posts on the BSF as "Steve" (recently, it has been about 50%), so you think I could be someone like Dan Bewley??? I have exchanged PM's with you on Facebook - using my real AND FULL name - and you still don't "know"? If you have ever checked my speedway website - which I am sure you have - then you would have further confirmation. And yes it was probably the BSF signature Steve that I recollect. Thanks for the other update data about yourself.

As I understood you the indication was that we had exchanged views/opinions on a FACEBOOK group. Now I understand it to have been an exchange of views on the BSF regarding my own comments relative to Facebook? chunky
No... It's really not that difficult, John. In regard to things posted on the BSF, we have PM'd each other on the BSF. In regard to things posted on Facebook groups (there are no "forums"), we have PM'd each other on Facebook.
