Wrong weather, not having first leg, better team, better atmosphere at Poole. You are definitely one of those people where everything is better at your club, but it ain’t. You were beaten by the better team, end of. I say one thing you’re better at bending the rules, but this time cheats didn’t prosper Steve isn't making excuses just laying the reasons for the defeat. I thought it was a very honest and reasonable post.

It’s pretty simple.
marko
It looked quite dark on the terraces so hard to see how many was there, I wasn't looking anyway, but nonetheless surely there must have been at least 1000 Poole fans there? I mean we are told frequently how big the club is when it comes to support, and you rarely see the main stand empty on a sky night, even for a fairly meaningless fixture or do the large majority of their fans not recognise speedway away from Wimbourne Road? 89buttons
Everyone bashes Foxhall, but Chris Louis has tirelessly tried to improve the track within the constraints placed upon doing so over the last few years, and often cites how difficult it has been making it better for the current bikes and how they ride! In addition being honest in my opinion when the weather has played ball this year in the days leading up to and the day of the meeting the track has been prepared very well and produced good racing. This week leading up to Saturday there’s been heavy rain on and off all week with Friday afternoon being particularly torrential! jack holder was a disgrace last night, irrespective of whether it’s a real or fake injury if he’d have brought the correct attitude attacked the track and given his all trying to help his team reach the final he wouldn’t have fallen and hurt/not hurt himself - there’s no valid reason a rider of his ability couldn’t race hard last night, he just didn’t fancy it. up the witches, well done to all our boys dug deep all scored important points and we’re in the final!! Foxhall is a big stadia. An average looking crowd at Foxhall would look huge at most other venues.
CountyGround
Fact is the result is good for G.B. speedway, success needs to be spread around. All teams should start the season pretty equal - therefore leading to potential equal success @ the end. Poole's domination of the league during Matt Fords reign has been great for Poole but bad for G.B. speedway in general.........
Sidney the robin
Well done to Ippo for winning the tie fully deserved have to say Bomber and James Sarjeant really rode there socks off.Chris often gets unwarranted criticism but by god he is fully committed in every race.If i was Poole i would sign Harris on his false average for next season i have said all season this Poole team was vulnerable and i fancied Ipswich to beat them.Ipswich now can go into the final with every confidence nothing to fear and they will be tough to beat especially at Foxhall.
Ovalman
Bomber is a British Bulldog, how The Poirates could have done with some bulldog spirit, like him, Lawson or Kingy. Seems a few Aussies don't like a wet track. Edited September 29, 2019 by auntie doris
Gavan
Oh the fun of it Just watched this meeting back this morning after avoiding the result when out last night What a fantastic achievement for the league outsiders to beat the title favourites So on Thursday we had all the Poole fans hammering on about what an amazing team manager he was to motivate his team to win the meeting.................where was Middlo last night???.....he had Kurtz woeful , the reserves woeful and Holder basically sticking 2 fingers up at him........a good team manager would have motivated those boys, made Holder ride .....and pulled the meeting out the bag Hawkins has been poor in some decisions this season but to see his team throw away a lead to then be able to motivate them into doing that last night....well perhaps he can show Muddlo how to do it. Poole have twice won at Foxhall this season , once with a weakened team............how can a team manager see his team go missing in a final......i think Middlo thought job was done Klindt , Josh and Covatti aside that was a shocking inept attitude from the Poole riders......look at Sarjeant riding his socks off last night , Wells and Kurtz should be ashamed. I have many times said Kurtz goes missing when the pressure is on...........seems i was right again Oh and who said Heeps has been awful since moving out of reserve.......7+3 from 4 rides.........lol great performance again. How did Poole mess this season up? Questions need to be asked A team hot favourites at the start and all the way up until the end of July.......finish top of the league and blow it............first team in history to finish top and not make the final......... I see Shovlar is saying Poole are the better team..........crap..........you simply were beaten over 2 legs by a BETTER side......blaming anything and everything.......why dont you go off to Rome again....... Kurtz and Holder need to get away from Poole, neither like the track and their careers have gone backwards.............. Poole tried to cheat and failed ..............woop woop Ive even seen a Poole fan say that Ipswich bringing in Iversen is wrong............totally fine when Poole did it with Hancock though............ For all you decent Poole fans on here...........im sure your team will be up there again next season But my last words are saved for the disappearing Starman....................CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok,Australia lost to Wales, but boy oh boy didnt they put up a fight. Thats how you do it Jack, fight with all your might till the end. Give everything. Unlike you last night. I can see Holder being a big rugby fan; after all its a game where the players spend eighty minutes pretending not to be hurt!

All it needs is a hard enough impact to hammer the toe against the inside of the boot. That said, I didn't believe Holder either. Maybe the boots he was wearing were too big and, he couldn't fill them ? 1

But he, himself, said that the one thing that really got the Ipswich "up for it" last night was the way the Poole riders were celebrating at the end of first leg. I know they had a right to feel that coming back from a 12 point deficit to win by 10 points was cause for celebration. But simple psychology tells you not to rub the opposition's nose in it, especially at half time.

Bash
Maybe that had something to do with the attitude of some Poole riders last night, thought they only had to turn up to get through.
The Cheese
Congrats to Ipswich, good luck in the final. With THJ carrying an injury I was surprised he was riding last night tbh, never likely to score much so expected Poole to use it as an opportunity for a guest. Ovalman
Poole had won twice at Ipswich this season, obviously too complacent.
