Rough Park for me is the worse shaped track in the league and that's why Tommy struggled ,he will be fine on the open spaces at the EWR

Suppose it's a bit like learning to drive a car, its quite easy in an empty supermarket car park on a Sunday evening. It all changes when you get on the real roads ;)

1. Josh Auty

2. Danny Ayres

3. Tero Aarnio

4. Thomas Jorgensen

5. Jake Allen

6. Simon Lambert

7. Jordan Palin

It's so predictable it's funny... At least other clubs get the excitement of whether they'll run or not first... Makes it more interesting at least...

So your saying it's the worst shape track in the league mmmmm well I wonder if the late great Ivan mauger would agree with that statement and not forgetting all other ex world champs  and ex  gp  riders that cut the British speedway teeth on the worst shape track in the league,,, if you had of said technical I would definitely agree with the statement...

Get real ,it’s a speedway track just because TJ struggled ,he has found his level, end of story. Some of the greatest riders the World has ever produced got round it without any trouble.

Me matey, having heard 'rumors' from top people... we won't be too bad.. top 6 finish and a playoff place for us I reckon

Is bumping it up to top 6 for play off places a bit like prizes for taking part at school sports days? Surely teams should be build with a top four target at least if not to top the table. Scunny have a promoter in the inner circle  and can basically start team building early as they know the points limit and rulings that will be voted through and still only aim at making the number up.

Similar situation to last year when he had a team agreed/pencilled in only for the VOTE of the promoters at the AGM agreed to a lower points level & we had to change riders around.

Dont see Tero Aarnio racing over here, at least not from the start of the season anyway.

Tero will ride for Scunthorpe once again... Unfortunately to me xD

Along with Tommy, Josh, Jake, Simon Lambert, Danny Ayres and Palin

17.66 for the remaining 3 riders.......

Howarth 7.15

Aarnio 6.85

Kinsley 3.17

or  Howarth 7.15

Ayres 5.51

Nielsen 4.51

Aarnio and Ayres, more of a personal note not a fan of howarth.. Kinsley was impressive this year, but wouldn't have him back with Jordan (had we not committed to Jordan, Ryan would have been my no 1 selection) and Stef I personally think has let us down a couple too many times this season

Stefan has not let the Scorpions down but has been beset with injuries(again) & confidence. He is always there at the post meetings in the clubhouse & is honest.

I truly believe he is a better rider than Simon, who performed well on his return, with it showing that the sport is a confidence thing, being in your head & on track. I do not think Simon will up his average but Stefan would improve his to around the 6 mark.

You just have to look at what Steve Worrall has done these last few years. Racing on the technical track at Newcastle, he averages 9.1. He then comes to Scunthorpe & unfortunately has a bad break to his leg & on the open & more fairer open spaces of the EWR, averages 8.2. He then goes back to Newcastle & lowers his average again to 7.6.
