End of season finale, Colin hill memorial, inter league challenge.

H.Atkins

B.Morley

J.Edwards

R.Andrews

B.Barker

K.Newman

R.Lawson

All track specialists should be entertaining, weather looks good atm.

Decent level of riders but what format will an 8 rider individual run over? Also heard over the weekend that the switch of race day has caused problems for getting the final second half run.

Barker ; Lawson ; Newman; Atkins + Morley

Add in another Heat Leader and second string and that looks suspiciously like a CL Team in the making to me??

Ellis and Starke anyone?? 41.32 (very solid)

Newman is already confirmed for Eastbourne next season.

is Kyle actually confirmed yet when no points limit, his parent Club (Poole) are possibly going CL, he used to ride for Plymouth  and as a few pointed out at the time the Eastbourne announcement of Kerr and Kyle as subject to structure / points limit / parents club approval.

To add to the intrigue isn't one of the Eastbourne Promoters moving to Plymouth? (seen it on a video somewhere on Facebook)

Personally i'd love Kyle at Birmngham but read he did not enjoy his time at PB which was disappointing to read.

I wish him well, far better rider than average indicates and nice chap.

Good points.

I'd overlooked the prospect of Poole moving down.  The announcement of Newman returning was of course subject to the parent club's approval, and to us being in a different league to the parent club.  If the clubs being in the same league is a sticking point in terms of him riding for Eastbourne though, then I'd suppose the same would apply to Plymouth, if they move up?

The points limit issue applies to every signing that's being announced by any team at the moment, in fairness.  During the open meeting after the Birmingham fixture, 41 points with a two point minimum and 43 points with a three point minimum were both mentioned as possibilities under discussion, in which case I wouldn't think that would be an issue, but of course what the reality is remains to be seen.

Ian Jordan (Director, rather than Promoter) is indeed going to be working with Plymouth, my understanding (which may be entirely wrong!) is that while he'll be working with them it isn't going to be a wholesale move, as four days ago he said the following in a press release on the Eagles website:

"...my financial investment in to the club will continue very much unabated as Director, both in financial terms and in the enormous number of man hours which are spent..."

Anyhow, I'd certainly like to see Newman back with us next season.  His attitude was first class from day one, and we saw some really good rides from him once he'd gotten used to Arlington.

As usual it'll be down to where he prefers to ride, which I  imagine would be Eastbourne. Liked by the fans and must feel at home after last season. Must be so much easier walking back to an environment you know and have enjoyed and being fairly sure you'll be there for the season.

I thought championship riders couldn’t ride at development league tracks. I’m sure riders have been prevented from riding previously

I know what you’re thinking of but I think it’s whether the meeting is set at amateur or professional level. The incident you’re referring to was a couple of years ago. But  Stevie Worrall rode at Smallbrook this season in the NICE Challenge and that was an open international event.

Good night's racing, riders full of praise for the track particularly Richard Lawson who said it was better than the last time he came down to plymouth  4or 5 yrs ago hopefully championship next season and that standard of racing every week.

Nights racing? 8 heats and a final plus a failed 2nd half i hope that it was reduced entry as that is hardly value for money. Hopefully the top end talent on show will be enough to draw the crowds next season.
